Village By The Sea is another of the many quirky little shopping areas off Rehoboth Ave. Though not quite the charm of the Penny Lane area, Village by the Sea has a restaurant and a few shops in the alley that goes thru to Baltimore Ave.

The Village by the Sea is a small walkway in Rehoboth Beach that runs between Baltimore Avenue and Rehoboth Avenue. It is in the second block from the beach. It used to be home to the Mizzen Mast, which I still miss to this day. However, many of the original shops still remain.
Today, the Village by the Sea seems to be mostly clothing shops. The Cotton Club seems to be casual wear geared towards the older crowd. Hula Sue has some pretty dresses and tops that have somewhat of a bohemian or island flare to them. The Sunshine Octopus is an interesting shop that has been around for close to 3 decades! It is geared towards "hippies" or anyone who likes psychedelic, colorful clothing. It has been there as long as I can remember.
Silver Works is the jewelry store in this small outdoor "mall". It is a lovely shop IF you like silver. Also in the Village is Lingo's Market, which relocated here from First Street within the last year or so. They have baked goods, a deli, grocery items and what not. I believe there is still a shop or two that has home décor and home furnishings in them too. There is also the Proud Bookstore that features LGTB merchandise and books. It is located at the end ON Baltimore Avenue & has some interesting items for sale.
Arena's Deli is the main dining option in the Village by the Sea. They have live entertainment and also have an outdoor dining patio that sits inside the Village walkway.
Overall, the Village by the Sea is just a small collection of shops and one restaurant. There is nothing amazing about the Village, but it is a nice collection of independent shops. I like to be able shop the unique boutiques instead of the big box stores every once in a while. There are also a few benches, so it is nice to grab a seat here to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the Avenue sometimes too. No public restrooms.
