With Capt. Mike fishing the waters of the Amazon for Peacock Bass (an unbelievable experience), Capt. Kyle and I ventured out today into a rough gulf with 20-25mph winds and gusts to 35mph. To make a long story short we caught a bunch of snook and trout. At one point we caught three snook in a row within an inch of legal keeper size. All were safely returned to the water. Finally, we got our keeper. Kyle kept us moving and mostly sheltered from the winds. Casting became a challenge. In all, a great day of fishing as always with either Mike or Kyle.

It's not every day that you catch snook. It's not every day that you catch a keeper snook. It's not every day that you catch s snook that's too big to keep. Yesterday, in the space of an hour and fishing an area no larger than a tennis court, Mike and I caught our keeper and seven too big to keep snook, including that largest snook I have caught. Mike is always looking for a spot holding fish and yesterday he found the daddy of them all. He gets the big ones back in the water quickly. They were all females getting ready to spawn. We also landed some huge trout which we released for the same reason. Mike is not only thinking about putting you on fish but he is also thinking about the future of the fishery.

I have been fishing with Captain Mike numerous times in the past three years. What a great experience! Mike gets you on the fish and works hard to get you catching fish. We all know there is a big difference between fishing and catching. Capt. Mike helps you with the technique as well as the location of the fish. Works hard to bait the hooks and keep the rods in the water. A delightful and challenging day on every trip. Boat is about a 16 foot open outboard with plenty of room to accommodate casting fore and aft. Clean and fast to get you to the action. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated and a sandwich to eat between fishing locations. Protection from the sun is a must.

Mike scored big again yesterday. Brothers went fishing on a day with bad winds, choppy seas and bait was hard to find. We spent the day back country in the rivers and creeks. Mike did a lot of precision eating to put us in prime spots. Highlight of the day was this big snook which managed to get into the mangrove. Mike guided Gene on keeping the line tight while he manuverd the boat over the fish. Then Mike took the rod, put its tip down in the creek and proceeded to coax the snookout. The fish took off across the creek and the fight was on again. What a beast! Almost couldn't fit it in the net.

Captain Mike grew up in the area, and has exceptional knowledge of the available fish and their habits. If you are unable to book through TripAdvisor, go to his website or Facebook page to book your trip. You'll have an excellent time.

Had two great days with Mike having fished with him before. Every day is different and this time he found a school of black drum and we caught 20lb plus fish for fun. My son hooked the big one at 44lb! We caught a huge variety of fish both trips and second trip went snook fishing and lost count of the number we caught plus hooked some nice ones up to 12lb or so. Mike never gives up on the day and always gives everything to make your day a success. Fantastic!

Gary and I fished with Mike yesterday under tough conditions. North to northwest winds and choppy seas. Mike decided to try for bait and was successful. We then headed into the back country where we had an unbelievable day of snook fishing. Landed two over the slot snooks as well as four in the slot snooks. Mike kept on changing baits and we ended up landing snook on pilchards, ladyfish chunks, and jigs. The wind was always a challenge and Mike worked hard to find holes where the trolling motor would keep us well positioned. On top of the great snooks we brought home one top of the slot Redfish.

My husband Rob, dad, (Matt) and son, (Matthew) are still raving to all that will listen about their adventure with Captain Mike. They were beyond impressed with his knowledge of Everglade National Park and the expert level of his fishing skills. My husband said this charter was by far, his favorite ever and he fishes often! Capt. Mike made successful fishing or should I say "catching' look easy! Money well spent and they will be return soon! Call well in advance, he is a popular guide, in high demand!

two days on the water with Capt Mike and Kyle. Another wonderful experience with lots of snook and reds. Kids had a great time, we were always on the fish. What a great couple of days. Highly recommend Capt Mike
