Great park lots of riff raff
mar. 2021
Fort Myers has some problems with homeless people. This is one of the locations where there are lots of homeless hanging out. I believe that they feed the homeless still here certain days. Fort Myers has great protentional. I would like to see the city really concentrate on helping to house all the homeless- If they are not employable create a work program where the city provides the homeless with jobs as grounds maintenance workers throughout the city. (Where they get housing as part of the payment plan)
I go to this park often. Sometimes on Saturday night they have a drummers circle which is really cool. The park is worth a stroll- This park has potential for greatness

Beautiful park for a walk!
jan. 2020
This is a 10 acre park on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River in Downtown Fort Myers and also a part of the Downtown Historic River District. Our condo is walking distance from here and I am really enjoying it.

This is a very well-maintained park with good quality sidewalks. I saw a lot of people walking and a few people running while I was there. As it is next door to the marina and geographically a part of the yacht basin (there is another marina area near High Pointe condos), I saw people from boats/yachts walking their dogs.

There are covered shelters that can be rented and a building with public toilets. The interior of the toilet building was beat up but clean. There were people hanging out in the shelter but they weren't bothering anybody.

There are piers to walk out on, including one dedicated to a previous mayor. There was a small stone marker near a tree dedicating it to someone. Also, there was a large monument to Page and Buckingham Air Fields that were heavily used for fighter pilot training in World War II. You will also see a large red sculpture near the playground and volleyball areas as well as sculptures near the entrance and fountains.

The views from here are excellent. This is a really pretty park and well worth the visit.

Nice water views

Went there for a charity walk and the park was spotless. Excellent views of the water and a few blocks from the heart of downtown Ft. Myers. Public restroom are next to the park which is a real convenience.

On the river.

This location is the downtown Fort Myers park. It has been the go to place for years but it is slowly getting eaten up by development. The new hotel will make a hard to find a parking spot almost impossible. Sad to see this happening

Beautiful park along the Caloosahatchee River
feb. 2019 • Par
We stopped to admire the views and the park and to stretch our legs. This park stretches aways along the river and includes lots of trees and grassy lawn and a beautiful gazebo to seek shelter from the sun. Restrooms, water fountains and picnic tables are available to visitors. A beautiful park to visit.

Really a great place, where many activities take place. But without any special event still well worthwhile to go and explore and have picknic. Ideal for adults and children

It has been some years since I have actually been here but I was in Fort Myers 4 another reason and I didn't want to leave without stopping here first. I like it here because it's on the Caloosahatchee River and the U.S 41 Cleveland Ave Bridge spans right over it. Typical things U would find @ a park but this place is special in a different way because it's also a boat marina and lots of people come here. It has public restrooms and water fountains, picnic tables and a giant metal gazebo but the thing I like most is the solar panels that look like basketball goals. Worth a visit.

Lovely park by the water
des. 2018 • Par
This is a lovely park along the Caloosahatchee River in Downtown Fort Myers. There are lots of walking paths in the park that can allow for a nice stroll or a run if you’re looking for more exercise. There is a large fountain with statues of animal life native to Floridian waters as well as key players in history from the area (Ford, Edison). The fountain was being restored while we were there so I didn’t get any good pictures of it in action, but it a really lovely fountain. There are some docks that go out into the river that afford you great views of the river and the bridges. At sunset this would be really lovely. There is parking around downtown Fort Myers as well as parking lots if you need. I recommend coming and checking out this park while in Downtown Fort Myers!
