This place is filled with good plants and a nice trail! The treehouses and cabins are really nice and the water is beautiful. If you are looking to camp, go here. It's amazing. Don't skip the Pawpaw Nature Center! The people that work there are really nice and there's a lot of information about animals native to Florida! Please come here if you like animals!

Rented the big lodge for daughters graduation party. Was perfect, huge kitchen, plenty of room . Tables already there just ready to set up. This was a perfect venue for a party. The only thing very very hot, would be better for spring fall or winter. Regardless we had s perfect party. Loved this venue. Would highly recommend this.. exspecially for a rustic themed event.

They are building a neighborhood right in front of it, it wont be quiet for much longer! Used to be a girl scout camp. County bought it. Not too large but somewhat awkward (was designed for children). Treehouse camping seems cool but have never done it. As of may /18. Jungle trail boardwalk is closed from damage by irma (hurricane). Nice if you live nearby as i do—not worth going way out of your way for if a tourist.

Historic Girl Scout Camp. I had an hour to kill, and the place was deserted, so I walked around. Sort of interesting, though not worth a special trip.

This was a lovely park and campground. The cabin and meeting area were clean and very comfortable. The views of the St Johns River and Black Creek River Basin were just breathtaking. It was nicely price also for us to hold our church event. I would recommend this Park to everyone no matter what the occasion is.

Love this park. The setting on the Black Creek is peaceful and beautiful. There are wooden trails winding through the property, wood walkways leading out to the creek and picnic tables on the lawn. Small playground for younger kids.
Beautiful trails lead back into the woods with cabins that can be rented. But the really unique way to camp in this park is in one of their awesome treehouses!
There is a pool with life guards too.
Great place to enjoy nature

We stopped here for a picnic and found several other people doing the same. The Park has plenty of parking, well maintained restrooms, drinking fountains, picnic tables throughout in different spots, and various trails. We walked the Jungle Trail to the fishing pier and loved it. It is a well maintained boardwalk and had signage along the way identifying things like orchids and swamp iris. The trail takes you to a fishing pier on Black Creek where you can look out to the St. John River and bridge. It has lily pads along the sides and must be beautiful when in bloom.
We also went past Otter Spring which looks like it's been inactive over the winter. A boardwalk after that took us to the Treehouse Point, which is a group of elevated camping cabins. It's be an interesting spot to stay! While there, we sat at a picnic table and saw both downy and pileated woodpeckers at work. We walked back to the parking lot via Magnolia Point and saw lots of Carolina Jasmine in bloom. Really beautiful!
There are a number of buildings there (it's an old Girl Scout Camp) but they were closed when we visited. The Park also has campsites and another trail we didn't get to. It was a fun spot to stop at; I'll definitely return.
