Awesome experience!

We had the best time!!! It was really rainy and Captain Keith caught a good weather window so we could go on our ride. He pointed out wildlife, historical information, and was so fun and personable. The kids felt comfortable and had a blast!! Miss Barb helped us all hold the cute gator and take lots of pictures. I highly recommend this tour! Something for the whole family (we have kids from 4-13) and a great memory!

Great Place to Enjoy an Airboat Ride!

We enjoyed an exciting airboat ride filled with lots of wildlife sightings. Our grandchildren LOVED the thrilling rise!

Yessir! Ben & Jerry’s is an airboat must!!

We saw lots of alligators and wildlife. Beautiful scenery. Family tip- they provide ear protection if you need, but we were ok without. Captain Joe was amazing. Make sure you bring cash to tip the guide.

First airboat ride!

Tom and Jerry’s airboat rode was a great stop before heading home to middle Georgia. Our tour guide Joe was hilarious with his jokes mixed with much information about the area and history.

We had a blast! I would definitely recommend the 60 minute tour as I don’t feel like 30 minutes would be enough! Saw so many beautiful birds and many many huge turtles. Oh and of course alligators! Our guide Brent was great! Loved his jokes and he was friendly with the kids too!

The lake and its waterways were absolutely gorgeous. Definitely call for reservations - the website says you can walk-in, but the tours were booked well in advance. It was a bit of a hike from Tampa but well worth it.

Disappointing airboat tour considering the potential

This was a disappointing airboat tour considering the potential. Our airboat tour was along the edge of beautiful Lake Panasoffkee located in central Florida. However, the Tom & Jerry's buildings and airboats looked tired. Our airboat Captain Sam said that the engine on the airboat was overheating implying that it needed maintenance. Although there were some weathered, noise- reducing earmuffs scattered around the airboat, there didn't appear to be enough for all the passengers and there was no suggestion by Captain Sam to use them. As expected, the engine and propeller noise is pretty loud.

Captain Sam did mention to tip the Captain at the end of the tour but it's not required.

At the beginning of the tour, we rode through a small cove near the airboat dock and we did see a handful of small, baby alligators. During our 1 hour airboat tour, Captain Sam mentioned that there were roughly 7,000 alligators in the waters around Lake Panasoffkee. Unfortunately, during our tour we only saw 2-3 adult alligators. The outdoor temperature was 91 degrees and sunny so maybe the alligators didn't want to layout in the sun where we could see them. As an alternative, Captain Sam could have entertained us with lots of interesting facts about alligators in general, local birds in the trees , turtles on the logs and fish in the area. This would have helped the passengers understand what they were seeing or what to look for. Although Captain Sam made multiple stops so passengers could take pictures, I couldn't hear the Captain comments very well because he was talking to the people close around him. The passengers in the front of the boat couldn't see very well or hear what was being said. Although the airboat's water speed and maneuverability was amazing, when traveling slower along the shore the airboat was moving too fast to see the details.

When we completed our airboat ride tour, we returned to the Main Office to hold a live alligator and have our picture taken. Unfortunately, the small alligator was only about two feet long. It looked like a fake, rubber alligator that you would buy in the Toy Department at Walmart No Thanks, We left and returned to our parked car.

We're glad that we went on this very average and disappointing Tom and Jerry's airboat tour. We were really looking forward to an adventure! Given the resources of the beautiful lake and airboat experience, there is great potential to meet or exceed the customer's expectations but this airboat experience did neither.

We can't recommend this airboat tour to you or your friends. There are much better local alternatives.

Good Private Tour but Frazzled Check-in Staff

I booked a private tour 2 days in advance for 4 adults at considerable additional cost - $39.99 per person for the regular tour versus $75 per person. When we arrived the lady on the front desk was not aware of our 'private' tour and tried to sell me the regular tour. She seemed frustrated and overwhelmed and her customer service skills were not great. She eventually confirmed that we could have our private tour. We got the feeling she had to find someone to do the tour but eventually she confirmed the tour for us. Joe, our airboat captain, was Fabulous. He was informative regarding the animals and plants. We enjoyed a great one hour on Lake Panasoffkee with Joe. We found alligators, egrets, buzzards, etc. I was disappointed that there was nothing extra offered to us for the additional $35 per person for the private tour. When we arrived back at the office, we were given some time to hold a baby alligator and get our picture taken with it. Once again, the lady working there was rushing us along and getting agitated as we tried to rush taking our photos. At one point, I felt like telling her to step back - she was so much in our personal space. My suggestion to Tom and Jerry's is to hire someone with professional customer service skills for your office - I think your business would be much better off. The lady was not unkind but was not professional at all. I would NOT recommend this business.

Captain Sam!!..He is the reason we go back.My daughter had the time of her life. The stories jokes and good times made our trip memorable! Each time we were bored the captain picked somebody to be" Gator bait" So much fun and as always, Lots of laughs!! Thanks again Captain Sam Well be back!!

Captain Joe was his name. Captain Joe was unprofessional, rude, demeaning and everything you could think of today I & 7 senior citizens went for a ride on Tom and Jerry’s airboat adventures with Captain Joe Captain Joe Rush to the boat, saying hurry let’s load them up I’m late Again I had seven senior citizens with me two of which are handicap we can’t rush. We can’t run to the boat because Captain Joe lacks time management skills. Captain Joe continued to talk bad to the patrons that were on the boat. Some of them were the senior citizens that I went with about my mom who is handicap and could not get to the boat as fast as captain Joe wanted her to , we saw four gators maybe five some birds some turtles some trees on the adventure today would I go back? No not as long as captain Joe is there I did, however, speak to the owner Jerry, who assured me that captain Joe has been reprimanded received some days off and acknowledges that Captain Joe was wrong to treat my mom and the others this way today I appreciate Jerry‘s honesty and understanding. Therefore, I will read this as a two. If it was Soli rated on Captain Joe, this would have been a zero.
