We rented for 8 but 6 would have been fine. We kind of arrived late and got delayed by other renters anyway. Arrive 1/2 hour before your reservation to maximize your on-water time. Parking is not easy, that is an advantage to an 8 hour... you have to get there before many of the patrons arrive.

Hi, Seeing dolphin while out on a boat is very common. You can visit the outer islands of Captiva but we do have a limited ride where you can operate the boat. We are a shallow water area so following our instructions and staying with in the navigable channels is also very important. So I wouldn't say you can go "where ever you want" with the rental boats but there are some very nice areas to visit. To rent a boat you must have some boating experience, valid id with proof of age, and a major credit card. Also, in Florida, if you were born after Jan. 01, 1988 you will need a FL Boater Safety Card. We also offer guided boat rides and water taxi if you prefer to have a Captain instead of a rental boat. This is a good option if you have no boating experience or are unfamiliar with our area.

Hi, Unfortunately we require our boats to stay docked at our location. We can try to make things run as easy as possible for you but you would need to come and go from Tween Waters.
