We had a great day fishing with Captain Caleb Blackburn in mid December caught a lot of Redfish and a few trout. Had a relaxing fun day of fishing. with my son and daughter.

I fished with Captain Matthew Omlor of Old City Fly Shop for two days. Definitely a five-star quality experience that exceeded my expectations! Matt put me onto fish and gave clear and patient instructions. Not only did I catch redfish, but I learned a lot about the fish and the marsh environment—things that will help me get even more out of my next trip.

Captain Matt was dialed in and extremely knowledgeable about his fishery. Every location we ventured to was loaded with reds. Endless opportunities at fish, along with beautiful scenery. Matt was enthusiastic and informative. Nobody should be looking to fish this area without captain Matt on the poling platform, he is the man for the job.

You don’t know how beautiful St Augustine, Fl tailing reds are until you see the spartina grass wiggle and the tail come up, go down, move a bit and come up again. Then Matt helps you identify the line. You plan your shot. You make it and wait and wait. Strip it into its path. Wait. Giggle it. Giggle it again and then WHAM!!! Game on. Never get tired of it.

Was invited by a friend for a last second two day fly-fishing experience with Captain Matthew Omlor of Old City Guide Service in St. Augustine, FLA. Simply put, it was amazing! Captain Matt put us on Red Fish in the flats one night and had us catching Albacore the next day! Captain Matt put us on fish, provided great insight and fun conversation! I have been on many guided salt water trips in my life and this is one of the top experiences that I have had. I highly recommend Old City Guide Service! I even saw an 8 year old boy come up to Captain Matt to say hello, as he went out with him the day before and had a great experience with his grandfather. If you're looking for a fun, positive and yes productive day on the water-Old City Guide Service is where to go!

My group came from Colorado and spent three days with Capt Matt and Capt Luke. We had a blast.
We came with varying levels of fly fishing experience...and very little experience fly fishing in Florida. They put us on fish consistently. They had a plan for every tide level, weather pattern, ability level. If you can flop out line 12', they will get you fishy.
They adapted to each one of us perfectly. I needed lots of instructions, tips, and beer time...no problem. Others in my group just need direction on where to throw their 60' cast....no problem. Just want to throw a spinner for a while? That's cool too.
We all left as better anglers and happier people after meeting Matt and Luke. A week later and I'm still dreaming of fishing for reds in the flooded flats...
Fishing can be hard...choice of guide service in St. Augustine is not.

Had the pleasure of fishing with Both Captain Matt and Captain Luke over a long weekend. These guys know the area really well and know what works and what doesn’t. Great fishing with some great guides - I’ll be back to fish with them for sure!

Capt. Matt planned a perfect half day trip for me and my 14 year old son, and got us into some monster Redfish in the flats as we watched a beautiful sunrise. Later we got into trout and flounder as well. He was really organized, a great guy to hang out with and patient with my son who now CAN'T WAIT to go back. Terrific memories. Thanks Matt!

My father and I had a great time with Captain Tim. We went out for a half day starting before dawn to hit the dock lights in the area which were super fun to fish. He put us on redfish, trout and even a flounder. Tim worked with both of us on our techniques as I fly fished and my father spin casted. He is very knowledgeable about the waters a great fisherman and Captain. I have always wanted to fish on the flats and I am hooked (pun intended). I will definitely be planning more trips out with him when in the area.

Hola Tim soy Julio Guyot de argentina, estoy viajando en los proximos dias a San Agustine. En esta epoca se puede pescar con mosca?, cual seria el costo? Yo no soy un gran pescador pero me dijeron que alla se puede pescar bien es cierto?
