Good place to learn about culture and heritage ... Only needs better preservation techniques so the Heritage objects don't get affected or lose value over time... They have really useful and educational heritage objects... Nice one.

The cost is 30r or cheaper if you are a student, Lesotho national or child. The museum itself is small but there were some interesting exhibits covering the colonial era as well as some traditional cooking appliances and information about the Basotho people. The information display boards are in both English and Sesotho.

There was also a pizza resraurant in the grounds of the museum as well as 'The Hub' an interesting looking initiative that has free internet access, a library, computers and numerous workshops for 100r per year. It seemed very popular when I visited!

They do (rarely for rural Lesotho) take card in the museum itself as well as selling postcards of Lesotho. There are toilet facilities in the museum. Worth an hour or so of your time!

Don't expect anything fancy from this little museum but it is a great insight into the life of the Sotho people and you won't find anything else similar in Lesotho. Only need 30 minutes to an hour but do support it if you are passing by.

The museum itself is small but nice, with some interesting artifacts, fossils and (stuffed) animals, and the woman running it at the time was really nice and welcoming.

The best part of the museum, however, is what awaits the intrepid visitor up in the hills behind the museum: 200 million-year-old fossilized footprints from the Lesothosaur! You can get directions from a staff member, and learn more about the Lesothosaur inside the museum, and then you can see them for yourself by hiking up into the hills maybe 30 to 45 minutes (one way).

The walk is nice, and in addition to being able to see the dino tracks at the end, you'll be rewarded with a lovely vista of the surrounding landscape. You might even encounter a herd boy tending to his flock of sheep.

We went to Moria as my husband’s family were missionaries there. Interesting little museum where we were able to research the family. Very helpful staff.

To find it look for the red church with the steeple and its up a gravel road behind the church. Basically the museum consists of one room and a corridor. But it does tell the story of king Moshoeshoe and the history behind Lesotho very well. There are several interesting artefacts, photos etc. Not a place you'd go out of your way to visit but worth a look if passing.

Although one can quickly walk through the smallish museum, the friendly lady from the office joined us and presented so many interesting facts and stories in an excellent manner. Our primary / high school sons were fascinated by her explanations. Highly recommended!
