HORRIBLE PARK

The time has come to close this park down. Last time we went, admission for non-riders was $5.00 and free parking. Now it's $120.00 to get in and everybody pays full price even if you don't ride. The time I was there over half the rides did not work or they just did not have enough employees to staff them. This was my LAST TIME coming to Lake Winnie. The parks motto is "Come On, Get Happy!" but that is not how the customers feel.

the current owners Tennyson Dickinson should know they are running this park into the ground. Maybe a call to his office (518) 783-0038 should do the trick.

The park has been neglected for some time. Our experience was quite disappointing as we had such fun when we were kids. Alot of the rides were not working or permanently closed. There was nowhere to cool off in air-conditioning & what fans you did see for the guest were turned off. They had employee's selling food & working the game stands. I was very unimpressed that the money from these activities was more important than running the rides for visitors that paid admission. Isn't that the point? We personally didn't go there to play games & buy food. The employee's looked like they had heat exhaustion & sad faces 😔. We read the reviews before going, but didn't expect it to be so bad. They need to take a pressure washer & clean everything. The owners obviously don't care about the condition of the park anymore. Sad

Too much money for so little to do

Arrived about 1pm, no line at ticket booth which was nice. Tickets for the dry park alone were $40 which seemed extremely high. Once in the park I noticed alot of attractions were either closed, had no ride operators, or were just removed all together. I rode the Cannonball Roller Coaster, The Boat Chute, The Whacky Factory, The Pirateship, Waveswinger and the Antique Cars. Closed rides included Ferris Wheel, The Twister, Conestoga, The Fireball, The Genie, The Alpine Way chairlift, The Paddle Boats, and The Parachutes. This is a nice park but the ticket price just doesn't warrant what they have currently. It feels like a park that is on its way out of existence. It has some charm but not enough to get me to come back and pay that entrance fee again.

This place is sinking

We took our 7 year old grandson. The rides were malfunctioning. One instance in the Wacky Factory it messed up and they had to let people out a back entrance. When it started up, the car after stopping took off too fast for my wife to get on with our grandson. He was by himself. Lucky he made it all the way without being put out the back door. I was there waiting on him as he came out long before my wife arrived. Almost every time we rode the boat chute they had to stop it due to a leaking boat. Many rides were not running. Even the stand that says they sell popcorn did not have any. Looks like it needs better management to fix some serious issues. Will not go back unless things drastically improve.

TERRIBLE WANT REFUND

I paid $40 per person to enter the park. Only 2 food places were open which was terrible food. Most rides were closed. We got to ride the same rides several times. It was NOT worth my $40 per person. The amusement park has really been let go. It needs updated on the rides the best part was the water park but it was too crowded. If you want my business Lake Winnie needs to cut off with some cash and have everything going like it use to be. Look like most operators were underage also. We spent $300 there because of there set up now. Coke machines everywhere, dirty restrooms,high priced nasty food and really nothing to do there.

Please Do Better

My five year old son and I were stuck on the boat chute. They had to bring in a ladder to attach to the back of the boat and climb down the incline. This is not safe. The boat became detached from the chain that pulls it to the top of the incline. It's also jeopardized the safety of the employees trying to get us to safety. This place is literally duck taped together. I'm attaching a picture of the duck taped carousel for your enjoyment.

Do BETTER..

Have been 2 times including Father’s Day.
Overall I’m very disappointed and can see this place shutting down soon. Very low staff and have majority of rides shutdown. In my opinion they should have discounted the price on tickets if most rides are not operating and low staff. The water side is somewhat enjoyable, but be aware of you have small toddlers and babies. You have to use “their floats only”. They are not toddler or baby friendly. A lot of smaller kids fall straight through the floats. We took baby canopy floats very safe and worth the money to have for small children. Just to be told no. So we had to carry the kids through the lazy river. More of a hassle than the worth to walk it. They need to lower their price and consider all ages. Especially charging for 1 yr olds…

terrible, a refund should be given

This place is disgusting. There is literally duct tape on the Ferris Wheel. We went right at opening at 10am on a holiday (July 4th) and none of the restrooms had toilet paper, soap or paper towels. Most of the rides were not operational, not even the chair lift. There should be a warning sign somewhere that list everything that is closed down. What a complete waste of money. We left almost immediately.

Worse experience ever!!

Well we plan to go every year 2 or 3 times a year but this time me and my family went and it was a normal lake winnie day we get everything pretrip snacks and drinks and whatever else we need for the day so it's about a 2or 3 hrs event the night before and we get up and we headed out. We got ro gate normally we get there when park opens get all ready for the lazy river and we get there nothing out of ordinary nothing seems wrong until rite before water park was about to open in 5 minutes only to be told we can't get in lazy river maintenance. Issues so we are ok with that carried all our stuff to the gate before anyone says it's broke...so we sit in kiddy pool until 3 .5 hrs later after about to have a stroke cause most of our time is floating around. Long story short we about strike out lol and to top it all off there wasn't no FUNNEL CAKE PLACE WAS CLOSED?? WHO GOES TO LAKE WINNIE AND NOT GET FUNNEL CAKE WE WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST SPENT WELL OVER 200 AND GOT TRIP CUT SHORT DO TO THEM NOT GIVING CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY PAY FOR!!!! So if I ever go back anytime soon be a miracle my family was absolutely not satisfied at all the 2 things we come for the most wasn't there so be aware not everything is up and running starting to go down hill FAST. Didn't even give a rain check since the sokya wasn't operating for less than half the time to do what we wanted or get what we went for but yet no warning t gate whe they had Taken our 200 plus dollars instead they didn't say nothing so you could have had an option to come back the next day or whatever the case but we should have been giving the option and we wasn't we got mislead to believe everything was fine..

Disappointed in appearance

The rides were good ,the ones open. The park it's self was run down, hardly any stores and the workers was standing like zombie's. It's so sad you can't find anyone to enjoy working there. Back in the day, it was great. Clean and happy place to be
