Chicago jest bardzo pięknym miastem z wieloma drapaczami chmur, ale również mnóstwem terenów zielonych. Oprócz największych atrakcji turystycznych, które są płatne ( warto kupić City Pass- unikniesz wielogodzinnych kolejek), chciałbym opowiedzieć o miejscach nie mniej znanych jednak darmowych lub po części darmowych. Pierwsze z nich to bardzo ciekawe dla dzieci i dorosłych Muzeum przy Banku Rezerw Federalnych Chicago. Wstęp jest darmowy, ale i efektowny ( przechodzisz kontrolę osobistą) a w środku czeka nas dużo atrakcji i darmowych pamiątek. Druga całkowicie darmowa atrakcja to Lincoln Park ZOO, które oferuje odpoczynek na świeżym powietrzu dla całej rodziny połączone z podziwianiem wielu gatunków zwierząt. Magicznym miejscem w Chicago jest Navy Pier na terenie którego znajduje się Muzeum dla dzieci ( Children Muzeum of Chicago ) a w pierwszą niedzielę miesiąca płacą tylko dorośli, natomiast dzieci wchodzą za darmo. Mnóstwo atrakcji w każdym przedziale wiekowym. Warte polecenia są również co wieczorne koncerty ( w porze letniej) w Millennium Park, gdzie można przyjść z kocykiem kanapkami czy nawet piwkiem i w atmosferze pikniku posłuchać muzyki. Chicago jest pięknym miastem z wieloma atrakcjami, ale zanim kupimy płatne toury warto zaczerpnąć informacji na temat atrakcji za które nie trzeba płacić, natomiast jak w każdym mieście znajdą się ludzie chcący zarobić na turystach. Pozdrawiam i miłego zwiedzania.

Our tour guide , Claire, was amazing. We walked and toured for 2 hours and she told us such interesting things about the architecture and the people. Afterwards, we were able to identify so much more in the city after hearing all about the stories and the people. We all gave her a good tip but how great to know that anyone can access this tour because it is free! She was a super great guide for us.

We booked a free welcome tour guide to meet us in Chicago not knowing what to expect. Barbara Jo (BJ) was wonderful. She meet us close to our hotel at the Cultural Ctr and asked what we had seen so far, where we wanted to go, whether we wanted to walk or take public transportation, if we had any special needs and what are interests were. She catered the tour to us and it was a wonderful experience. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the city and it's history and culture. I would highly recommend anyone who is going to Chicago (or other cities where available) to book a welcome guide.

My tour guide, Deborah, was so passionate and knowledgeable about all of the sights which made the tour so much more enjoyable. It is a beneficial service and should definitely be used! It makes you appreciate the city even more!

We did this Tour with Deborah. It was an excellent tour. Not rushed and explained in every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are in a Chicago we would highly recommend that you take this tour

WELL WORTH YOUR TIME!!! Deborah is the best tour guide and provided so much knowledge about the history of Chicago! She is so passionate and shares numerous stories during the trip. I have been in Chicago for a year and visited some of the attractions before. Now I have the history and story behind them. This tour just added more pics and memories for me to cherish. I def recommend this to anyone whether new or living in Chicago for awhile. Be sure to have Deborah as your guide :)

I have been already to Chicago and I did also some tours (mainly by bus) to discover the city but this time I got a lot of different and in my opinion more interesting information. It's definitively worth doing it!

My guide Deborah made me absolutely fall in love with Chicago and appreciate its history. Very knowledgeable and friendly, she takes time to explain the story behind each of the buildings and its architecture. Her passion for Chicago is contagious. If you are in downtown Chicago for a day and want to see the city, this tour is your best bet. If you are lucky enough and other tourists don't turn up, you can have a private tour of downtown Chicago just like I did :)

The tour guide, Deborah, was just fantastic! She REALLY knows her stuff and has interesting stories and facts to go along with the sites. Every question we had was answered with the accuracy of a historian. She kept 'wow-ing' us because she was definitely not a boring tour guide!
The tour itsself is also fascinating. As a native Chicagoan I have already seen all the typical tour places, but this tour takes you through the unknown history of Chicago and tells the stories of historic buildings and landmarks(e.g. The Palmer House, Marshall Fields, Carson Pirie Scott, etc).
Some of the buildings we visited and heard about were just so beautifully ornate, and the classy oppulance just blew us away!!
Let's just say that this beautiful, interesting, enjoyable tour flew by, and after the 2 1/2 hours were over, I wished we could continue on for more!
I HIGHLY reccomend this tour!!!!

I had no clue of all the little unknown facts of Chicago are the cornerstones of what makes the city fabulous. The information shared on Ms. Williams's tour has given me a newfound respect and admiration for my home. Most of all I had fun too.

Hello,
My husband and I are visiting Chicago from 25th to 28th August, and we would love it if we could join your downtown walking tour. I do not see any slots or timings that we can reserve on TripAdvisor.
Could we please join in on 26th (Saturday) or 27th (Sunday) of August? Any time from morning to late evening works for us.
