This is a quiet park just north of Navy Pier. The one thing that I really noticed was how quiet it was. Unless you look to the west and see all the buildings it is possible to forget you are in a big city. The park is green, as nice well maintained trails and is just a nice tranquil place.

If you are in the central area of Lake Shore Drive (LSD), you might enjoy visiting Milton Lee Olive Park, that is right across from LSD, and that gives you a great visual perspective and panoramic views of the Lakeshore Front of Chicago in all its magnificent splendor.
The location of the park is perfect, and the park itself is wonderful -- 10+ acres of a well designed and developed land, properly maintained, that also offers to enjoy the beauty of nature (vast grassy areas, both open and shaded), and walking paths; the central, wide alley of the park is a beauty, adorned with enormous honey locust trees, there are benches in the park and other seating areas around the five fountains (working in summer time). The observation deck facing the Lake Front, is fantastic and functional, and of course the park opens to the fascinating Lake Michigan, that is very attractive in any time of the year.
The park is located very closely to Navy Pier, Jane Addams Memorial Park, Lakefront Trail, Lake Point Tower, and Ohio Street Beach.
The park is named after Milton L. Olive, III -- a Vietnam veteran and the first African-American recipient of the Medal of Honor. The park was officially dedicated in 1966 by the US President Lyndon B. Johnson.

Dieser liegt gleich neben der Navy Pier und bietet atemberaubend schöne Ausblicke auf die Skyline Chicagos. Das beste Licht hat man am Morgen, wenn die Sonne die Skyline erstrahlen lässt. Unbedingt aufsuchen, genießen und auch ein wenig entspannen.

This is a public park, located near the Jane Addams Memorial Park on the way to Navy Piers. The park provides a great opportunity to sit and relax among the greenery, the trees, and the grassy areas. There are some shaded areas as well as some open spaces. While walking, biking or jogging in the park, one can enjoy many beautiful trees, several fountains and gorgeous views.

You can find this on the way to Navy Pier by way of Jane Adams Park.
It’s smaller and quiet. Easy to keep tabs on younger children and pets.
It is adjacent to the Ohio Street Beach and looking toward the beach, you really get outstanding city skyline views and great views of the lake.
Another place to enjoy the beauty the city has to offer and avoid the crowds. A peaceful escape.

Such a nice relaxing place. Great views in honor of a war hero. Spend an hour or just a few minutes. You’re not allowed to picnic or play any games around here though

Are you able to have a picnic (blanket, chairs) here? I read conflicting things.
Coming in from out of town in October, not very experienced with the parking situation in Chicago as a whole.
What is the parking situation at Olive Park? We have a 5pm photoshoot there on a Tuesday then we hope to grab a bite to eat and make it to United Center for an 830 puck drop. Should we just uber everything that evening and not worry about parking at the park, restaurant, and the game?
A dinner spot recommendation would be great, too.

Hi
You can park at Navy Pier and walk over to the park, they are next to each other. From the garages just walk West toward Ohio Street/ beach. Just before the beach you’ll see a walk that takes you out to the park.
