We stayed nearby the tunnel and used it several times on our trip. It's definitely worth seeing at least once if you're in the area. Just make sure to swing wide so you can see if there are headlights indicating another car is coming through!

The tunnel was very neat to drive through! It was longer than I expected! We took our time and luckily did not have to wait.

We stayed in the Red River Gorge Area so we had to take this tunnel several times during our trip. When they say one lane, that is no lie. Lights on and wait your turn. Nice little rain shower on your way out from water coming off the rocks. Great history. If times, stop and read about it.

Very scenic drive thru the red river gorge. Even though others and web site said road was washed out it is not. Stopped at Slade visitor center and got great tips on things to see along this drive.

The Nada Tunnel is on the scenic drive of the Red River Gorge . It is kind of exciting and a bit scary driving thru it. Good thing that there’s not much traffic in that area.

This is one of the coolest tunnels I can remember driving through. It is a very short drive off the main highway but is very secluded and beautiful. It took us maybe 35 minutes to drive out to and through the tunnel and then turn around and drive back through the tunnel. It is definitely a one lane tunnel so you may have to wait a few minutes while traffic from the other way comes through. We did not have to wait either time. Even our teenage thought the tunnel was really cool!!

You must drive out here to the tunnel and go through it. Stop and get some pics, but it so cool. It is one way so make sure no one else is coming.

We enjoyed going through this tunnel twice. We waited about 5 minutes to get through the first time, and then once through we had to drive for about 5 minutes to find a parking lot where we could turn around to come back. There was no wait the second time through. Really fun!!!

Don't go out of your way but if you're heading into the Daniel Boone first and have to drive through this, you'll be fine. Short one lane tunnel carved through the mountain.

12' wide x 12' tall tunnel. Definitely worth going through. I was hesitant due to the one-way lane and review of folks having to back out, but so glad we did it. We went early in the morning (9 AM) to avoid crowds but April 2021 didn't seem that busy anyway. Take a group photo at the tunnel entrance next to the "Red River Gorge Geological Area" sign. There's a pull off for the sign as well as waiting for cars to come through. You can see straight through the tunnel so it's easy to tell if it's clear. Turn on lights; we had to honk our horn as another car approached the tunnel at the end. The other car waited for us to get through.

In April 2021, the eastern part of highway 715 near the "Osborne Bend Trail/Concrete Bridge" is washed out/closed so you can't drive around all of highway 715 to the south side. You'll see "closed" road signs warning you of road closure before you get to Gladie Center (center is closed due to Covid but you can see outdoor sights at Gladie). To get to "Sky Bridge" and "Whistling Arch" you have to drive from the southern part of highway 715
