Great park for all ages suitable for families what ages of children suitable for all great paths for Electric wheelchairs lots ot benches to sit and take in lovely view and a picnic area suitable for dog walkers and lots to do but the anything I would say it is the disabled toilet he starts to smell that’s the only thing that lets this lovely park down you have to pay
for disabled parking
also there is lots of ducks and swans to feed so don’t forget to bring wild bird seed

All of the other reviewers on here are confused and are talking about an entirely different park, there are no cafe facilities or anything else at this park other than some half arsed attempts (and that's being generous) at making this park a nice place to walk.
There are a couple tyre planters and a skip that are full of weeds and a fenced off wind-farm area, the park is still partly in use as a landfill with lorries in and out regularly during the week and where someone has attempted to to make it nice they have just flattened the rubbish and put half an inch of topsoil over it, there are sharp pieces of concrete and plastic and god knows what sticking out of the ground off of what could laughingly called a path (beware if you let your dog off leash)
The fishing lake that has been created is mostly surrounded by a half finished hardcore path that risks a broken ankle if walked on.
Because of the ongoing landfill some of this park is more like Mordor than a country park and i was half expecting an orc to jump out at any moment.
I could go on but suffice to say if there is a worse so called park in Britain I am yet to see it, just horrible!!
Better off walking around the streets of Ockendon than coming to this hell-hole.
I'm sure the council are making a pretty penny renting most of the site to the landfill company though, discraceful!!
By the way it's placement on the map is also wrong you will end up in the middle of a council estate if you go to it's marked area.

Lovely park, lovely walks, the only 2 complaints are as follows:-
1) Expensive Parking
2) After a nice time in the park and lots of walking, we were ready for a snack, coffee and ice creams. We got to the cafe just after 4pm and it was closed (chairs already all stacked up! Considering it was busy there and the School Holidays, we assumed it would still be open and due to the fact the park did not close until dusk, we were very disappointed to see this, plus we had paid for extra parking time to allow for our snack for nothing!

Went for a little walk around this beautiful park yesterday afternoon with my guy. Very pretty with lots of little country paths and nature trails. A beautiful conservation area with a stunning lake, lovely views and kept very clean. It is a stones throw away from the M25 but so tranquil and quiet... definitely a great place for summer picnics and family BBQ’s ( if you’re allowed)... will have to check that out...!!!

A great stretch to go for a run or walk. A few promenade group always utilize it to host their activities .

This former landfill site is now becoming a very nice country park. My wife and I volunteer here regularly and it is great to see the newly planted trees and hedgerows developing (and all the wildflowers).

Recently opened on an old land fill site, the land has been turned over to nature and will be allowed to grow wild in some areas while others will be cultivated to show case the local flora and fauna.
In 20 years time this'll be a fantastic place for walks, picnics and a chance to study the local wildlife but it needs time to establish itself.
It is worth visiting now and every so often to see just how the site is developed and changes over the years.
