Just wow! The food, no matter where we ate, was fabulous and priced fair. We did a lot of walking. A fair amount of biking and shopping as well.
The kids asked if we could come back next year! Uhm....yes!

The pier is a great place to view Provincetown from a different vantage point. A lot of the tours leave from here and the water views are beautiful.

Wonderful unique shops I tiny cottages…parking available on site…very clean restrooms..a small eatery..shark museum…catch the ferry to Boston…Whale watching…people watching…a great way to waste an afternoon

sehr hübscher Hafen. Es lohnt einen Gang über den Pier. Es gibt Malkurse Whalewatching und Shopping. einfach nett

Used the wharf for parking while going to dinner. Parking in the lots around town ranged from $20-$30 however we parked on the wharf and had dinner and did some walking around and the charge was only $7...Went back the next night and did the same thing and another $7 perfect for a quick trip there. Its $3.50 per hour. Worth it!

There are small shops on the pier. The walk is beautiful and really let's you see the boats and shoreline. You are also able to take pics of the pilgrim tower.

Used the wharf to board the Dolphin Fleet for a whale watching journey. Restrooms are inside the terminal. Mask are required to enter.

I had biked into town to run some errands and decided it was a perfect day to walk the pier. The views of the harbor, the town and the outer Cape are striking . This time of year the the water in the harbor shimmers and the backdrop of the sapphire blue sky provides an optimal background for the Pilgrim Monument and the buildings in town center. As you head down the pier, the right side is lined with shops full of local art. Further down are the kiosks that serve as the offices for the whale watch, fishing charters and other attractions. Near the end of the pier is the Whydah Museum which tells a bit of local history and is complete with a gift shop. At the end of the pier are the ferry launches to Boston. This is a nice way to kill time while waiting for a table at the Lobster Pot.

It's very convenient and accessible by car at 10mph. Drive out to the turnaround at the end and you get a good view of town and the bay.

It's impossible to avoid, so walk down the wharf, check out the little stands proffering sails or artwork or kitsch, admire the boats, check out the beach (but not the best place to swim!! Walk down Commercial to other bay beaches). It's a bit like a boardwalk. P-town has so much more to offer, but ya gotta walk down the wharf sooner or later!

My wife and I are arriving by Ferry from Boston on July 9th only for a day trip and taking Peter Pan Bus into Eastham that night. We need a place to leave our luggage while we enjoy PTown. Is there anything close to the Ferry? I feel I was mis-lead from the UseBounce site as they advertised Left Luggage and mention the Pilgrim Monument and that it is 650 feet approx from the Ferry. Turns out, after I secured a locker with a credit card... that the location to store the luggage is 3/4's of a mile away!!! We are 60 years old and can't drag bags from the Ferry to 21 Conwell Street. That was the location they have provided. This is really terrible and I don't know what to do. Are there other Left Luggage possibilities at the Chamber of Commerce which is VERY near the Ferry (right?) or something like that within reason and not 3/4's of a mile!!! WOW. Please advise.
Is there any swimming place near the wharf? Where you can enjoy also a good day at the beach?!

I don't believe that there is swimming next to the wharf. You may have to go to the other side of the Cape for that. There are small beaches close by that you can sit and sun bath at.

The office address is 24 MacMillan Pier which is located in back of the same building as the Expedition Whydah Museum at and on the middle of the pier, across from the Harbormaster's Marina Office. This is a working pier for artisan shacks, tour & ferry boats and fishing fleet dockage, so there is no public parking on the pier itself but you can drive onto the pier then turn around at the end to return to the public paid parking lot at the base of the pier if you want to park and walk around town. Parking there can get expensive. The Chamber of Commerce office is also located across from the parking lot and pier and a good place to get maps and accommodations information. The pedestrian traffic island, with the big anchor at the base of the pier has benches and is a great place to sit and people watch.

We visit the Cape in October. My brother lives there year round and says it is very congested during the summer. Weekends would be the worst but it is quite crowded in October during the week in P Town.
