There is no water source on the Miranjani hike. Carry at least 1.5 litres of water for the roundtrip.

Meranjani Trek is a feast for hiking lovers and even beginners. The whole trek is blanketed by tall blue pines and the voices of crickets make the journey more exciting. The last patch of trek is a bit harsh and elevated with sharp rocks but good sports' shoes with stick may ease it.
Don't forget to take enough water, choclates and other light eata

Have done this several times
Hike is 2-2.5 hours and should be fine and doable if you are fit. Make sure you wear good study shoes, preferably hiking shoes and take a jacket along even in summer.

Hike starts from near KP Governor House and goes up around 2,000 feet. You go through some very dense forest and some of the hike particularly at the end is steep.
Pack a light meal and biscuits and water. A hat or a cap and sunblock will come in handy because at the height (2900 metres) the sun can be harsh on a summer day. The weather can change all of a sudden so be prepared. A walking stick can also be very useful for support.

On a clear day you can see as far north as the majestic Nanga Parbat (which is some 90-100 miles to the northeast)

miranjani is a very good place to visit and its peak is so high,Miranjani is the highest peak in Galyat Region which is located at the elevation of 2,992 metres (9,816 ft), in Abbottabad District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the Province of Pakistan. It is located in the Namli Maira area, in Ayubia National Park, 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Islamabad in the western Himalayan range. The Miranjani trek starts a few minutes drive away from the Governor House in Nathia Gali. The total length of the track is about 4.69 km and a net elevation of about 600 meters. Most of the path is soft dirt sparse with small rocks patches and hence is very easy to traverse with little effort. Intermediate to expert trekkers should be able to do it in 1 hour 15 mins to 2 hours. Beginners should also have no trouble and would be able to complete in 2-3 hours. The path to the peak is canopied with tall trees and is abundant in greenery. Nathia Gali, Mushkpuri Peak and Azad Kashmir are easily visible from the top. On a clear day even Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world, at a displacement of 166 km or a distance of more than 400 km can be seen shining with its snow clad peaks.

Miranjani trek stating point is as shown on Google maps. Park there, ask the caretaker at the blue hut for directions to ease your mind and jump in. The first part of the trek is Rocky and unpleasing to the eye, hence there are no pictures of it. The scenery gets better as you climb up. It took me 95 minutes with a 10 minute break. Unfortunately there were a lot of clouds that prevented the beautiful views.

Good place for hike, if you are new to hike don't bother yourself.
Images displayed on that page showing huts are no where to be seen there.
No arrangements of food or water. Prices are double if you buy anything. Bring your own food and resources. Take 3 hours to reach on top and 1 and half hour to reach down.
Nature at its peek.

Miranjani is an excellent site to visit for those who are nature loving and want to do hiking.I went there with my 9 years old daughter and 11years old son and family. You can reach at hiking place quite easily by following the Namli mera road. You will find a small hut,a small office of wildlife. The hiking starts here.Parking is not the issue. You can park at the hut.The track starts behind the hut.Its 5.2 km long track on one side, lush green, and full of nature.Take your snacks with you,esp plenty of waters, buscuits, umbrella etc.Its safe, beautiful and breathtaking scenic track with hundreds of flowers and of course insects too.It took 2.3hours for us too reach there. The top of miranjani is the ultimate beauty one can imagine, surrounded by many hills top, ultimate beauty, with clouds coming around, and when the weather clears, its awsome all around the top.At the top is a pool and you should reach there for the greater view of the chain of top of mountains around.I strongly recommend. The track is safe, and it takes 1.2 hours to come back. The miranjani is 9872 meters high. Its Imran khan's favourite place too.

This is a walk to the top of miranjani peak.
Firstly the start of the walk is from behind a small hut at the fork of the main road. Google maps will take you exactly to this point marked as “miranjani trek start point”. Take the steps from behind the hut and go.
There is no signage but there is only 1 track - just follow and go. The walk will take about 3 hours so take snacks and water. The final third is a bit steep so be ready.
We took a guide with a horse and the boy was extremely polite. His name is Hamad and the number is 0344 9436731. I would recommend taking a guide for 2 reasons. Firstly the walk is long and if anyone gets tired they can sit on the horse for a bit and take a rest. Second having a local person means he is familiar with the area and can keep telling you how long there is and what to expect.
The walk itself is beautiful. What you see at the top is your luck depending on weather and cloud cover
I went with my kids age 7, 15 and we made it to the top in 3 hours without needing the horse but took lots of breaks. Coming down is about 1 hour

Miranjani is extremely beautiful place, the high steep lush green mountains, with many bushes full of berries, and beautiful flowers, and the chill in the air, makes it e en more beautiful.
