Fun! The river is super low so there was ALOT of walking the boat through the water. We even got the dog to pull us for a little ways. But, fun was had by all!

We stayed there on two RV sites for 3 nights for the 4th holiday. I had a lovely stay there in May 2020 when it was completely empty so this was a different experience. The campgrounds were packed and mostly tents. Tons of them. The two sites next to us had 10 big tents crammed in there. The campground has ONE shower and bathroom unit with a couple of porta potties thrown around other places. There was always a line and constant traffic going to the shower house. I stepped in it and instantly stepped out to not go back. We floated one day and the the cost is crazy! $225 for a raft. We asked if we could get a second raft for our group of 8 as they still showed 85 available that day. If it were sold out I understand but they were not budging. They claim you can only have 6 people for that $225 and then up to 8 with an additional fee but the people we saw floating had like 8-12 people all crammed in on a raft. Charging by the raft and not the person necessarily I see why people did that. Employees were all nice and helpful (except not budging on the second raft - but okay). Once we got on the river every time we stopped on a rock bar the smell was horrible! Smelled like a horse barn. We didn't stop very often as it just wasn't enjoyable. We are twice a year floaters on the Illinois river so thought we would come over to Noel and try the Elk. Unfortunately for the cost, the hoards of people all blaring music and the smell we won't be coming back. Two sons is probably a way nicer experience when it's not a holiday weekend. When we were finishing our float the drop off area of Two Sons had I bet 1,000 people all crammed on the bank and in the river. We had a hard time getting our kayak through there without hitting someone.

This is our first time to camp here. We got a site on the river & it was very shaded. We loved it. They have clean bathrooms & wonderful shower areas. The float trip is always a blast!! We will be back for more adventures!!

They’re always friendly, it’s a fun float. And camping here is always pretty nice, we like to stay at the campsites to the right by the river. The river looks cool at night with the moon glistening on it.

We did not camp here but rented tubes for our float trip. The pick up and drop off were smooth and the staff was incredibly nice. We did the 4 mile float and spent about 4.5 hours on the river and had a perfect float trip.

I've came here a few times in the last few years. They've always been really nice, and helpful. Camping here is always a good time, and the 8 mile is probably my favorite. After you pass low water bridge, there's less people the rest of the way to two sons.

I've camped this river every year since I was born. I've stayed at river ranch, wayside, shady beach, you name it,,,I've camped it. But absolutely NO ONE has better and safer canoes than Two Sons. For this reason alone we would stay here every time. People are friendly, camp grounds are clean and taken care of. My only wish is that they build cabins!!

"If our guests are gonna die in a tornado in a concrete bathroom, then god damn it, we are too" - Mick Myers, reenacting the amazing management of Two Sons Floats.
Two Sons is the best float in Noel. Their guys bend over backwards to make sure their guests are happy. They continuously checked on us during horrendous weather this weekend. Thursday night was a tornado a mile a way at 1AM. Will and his guys came down to get us in the shelter and hung there with us to make sure we were good. Then Friday the campground got hit with hours and hours of rain, but there was Will and Ashley there to take care of us again.
My friends and I have been traveling down to The Elk for over a decade now to do our annual vacation there, and Two Sons has been by far the best out of all the floats/camps in the entire town.
The campground itself is quiet and right on the river. It's a pretty place. 5 stars.

We did the 8 mile float in canoes with family. We made the mistake of going on a holiday weekend (4th of July), we had kids & there was a lot of drinking & nudity. If we hadn't had the kids, it would've been a lot more fun. I did have a good time & the kids did too, they just asked a lot of questions. Lol. I would do it again, minus the kids, & camp so I could drink more & not gave yo drive home. The two sons were very regionally priced. They take you up river to drop you off, so when you are done, you are at your car.

Great place to camp, very clean grounds, and equipment rentals are in good condition. Floating was relaxing and fun! Great place for friends and families. I do recommend this camp area!
