I absolutely loved this place. About a year ago, I did the Legends of Fire dragon one, and just yesterday we did the Alice Through the Looking Glass. I am a fellow gamemaster myself, yet I was still impressed by how amazing everything was. The room was super put together. I do not want to spoil, but the only part I did not like is that I hate the smell of mint. Most smells were starting to somewhat fade, but the sudden smell of mint was very overwhelming. Besides that, the room was absolutely amazing. I’m definitely going to recommend that my escape room co-workers go here for a team building exercise

This was so much fun! It was me and my husband’s first escape room and it will definitely not be the last. If we’re in the area again we will make time for all the rooms! Thanks so much.

What a fun experience! We had heard about escape rooms before, but really didn't know what to expect. When our family arrived, we were given excellent instructions and then taken to an amazing and decked out theme room. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of sophistication in each room and had a blast figuring out the clues. Our kids, 11 and 8, were able to fully participate and we all felt that we were able to contribute equally. It was great having a few hints given to us, and we can't wait to do this again. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

Now, these are FUN! Here is a mental challenge for most eveyone (probably 8 or older). There may be some physical challenges, though none of those are strenuous. For those who have never done a breakout, participants solve puzzles, find clues, and solve problems, all as a means of solving the larger puzzle to escape from the locked room (though you can always escape if you panic).
The challenges are difficult enough to make the team work together. You will be busy the entire hour (or most of it).
Each room has puzzles based on a single theme.
The only danger is you may feel less than brilliant before you get out!

These escape rooms are really fun. The kids mostly took over and figured out all the clues, but I helped write stuff down! All in all an exciting and challenging hour of brain power!

A friend (age 25), and my two grandmothers (age 74 & 69), and I all took on the challenge and absolutely cannot wait to go again! Jack was so nice, enthusiastic, and friendly. Definitely a must for family and friends.

My son and I joined a couple in the Deception Depot and made our escape with the cash and gold with minutes to spare. A very interactive game where intuitive thinkers thrive. Time flies so don’t dawdle!

I went with a group of 12 year old girls and they had such a blast working out the clues together. The monitor gave just right right amount of hints to help them move through the challenges together with a big sense of group accomplishment. It was helpful to have one adult in the room with them but they did most of the work themselves!

Several breakout rooms to choose from and they are all very exciting! They each have amazing staging and have been very well thought out! Challenging and exciting with mystery at every turn... I've done them all except one, and I can't wait to get back to Missoula to breakout again!! The team was professional and engaging and really have a very unique place in downtown... if you're in town don't miss this!!

Operation Checkmate!
A fantastic exploration of downtown Missoula. My wife and I did this with another couple and it was a lot of fun.
We certainly weren't the fastest, but had a great time walking and exploring downtown.
Lots of great clues to follow and puzzles to solve.
We have done a few inside escape rooms, but this was our first outdoor one and we loved it.
The folks running it did a great job and are super friendly and nice. We highly recommend it!

I am bringing a group of motorcyclists through Missoula in early August and I am looking for a couple activities other than riding to fill the days. What is Big Sky Breakout and what happens there? The group I am bringing will be around ten people and I would like to know, along with what it is you do, how much it will cost us to participate, and how long the activity takes?

Thank you for reaching out to us. Big Sky Breakout is a perfect way to get off the bikes for a bit and have fun together. Big Sky Breakout is a live interactive escape room game. You and your friends are in a themed room/rooms and you have to solve mental puzzles, put together clues and discover secrets passages and hidden codes to complete the mission of the room within an hour. We have three themed rooms. DuFranks Jail Break, a historical true to Missoula 1896 jail break story about the first man to be tried for murder and the first man to escape not once but twice. Find out why he escaped, how he escaped and where he went! Our second game is Embassy Escape, a cold war era mission impossible style game. You have to find the faberge' egg with the launch codes and the coordinates of your fallen comrade. Our third game is an Alice's Adventures in Wonderland game based on Carrolls 2nd book Through the Looking Glass. Find out why Alice is going Mad and find the white rabbit to help you save herself and your selves from certain insanity and escape wonderland. All of our games our games are for adults. Most of our games have a completion success rate of around 42-50%. But whether you win or lose won't matter. It is a ton of fun and with 10 folks you are sure to have a blast exploring our creations.
