Hot when we went but still worth going to see . Great place to explore. Miles of trails with different scenery around every hill.

Il Nevada è lo stato delle ghostown, delamar è una di queste, ma rimane molto poco da vedere. La location è molto bella ma la strada veramente brutta anche per una jeep 4x4. Non so se ne vale la pena..

The initial road headed in toward Delamar is rather deceiving. It is a rolling wide well-maintained dirt road until you reach the old cemetery at the bottom of the hill. From there on it is a rough and rocky single track trail winding up the mountain. In some spots it is very narrow and the rocks are very sharp. It is 1.6 miles from the cemetery to the ghost town but will take you as long as the drive from the highway to the cemetery which is several miles long. Since I was in a truck with highway tires and not off-road tires I turned around less than halfway up the hill. Did not want to take the chance of having any problems with tires.
So just a warning to be prepared for a rough and rocky climb. To me it was not worth taking the chance in the vehicle that I was in.

This ghost town is one of the better preserved ones form the silver mining era - you want a four wheel drive vehicle, or at least a vehicle with high clearance, The ride is rough. Take plenty of water with you - there is nothing around the place at all. I saw no one there the day I went to visit, and I enjoyed the time to explore and shoot lots of pictures. It clearly has been visited a lot over the years, but it is unlikely you will run into anyone when you are there, Definitely let someone know you are going, cell reception there was spotty to nonexistent.

We went from Alamo. it is a much shorter drive from US 93 nearer Caliente, the Powerline road is smooth, the drive up the hill is really rough. I was in a VW, kids on 4 wheeler and dirt bikes, we had no trouble getting in. The building furthest up the hill is the most intact. Mine shafts all over the hill, keep track of your kids!. Spent an hour or two walking around, it is hot in the summer and cold in the winter, I recommend fall or spring. We went early September and it was near 100 when we left (cooler than home for me it was nice).

The road to Delmar is not well marked, but hopefully you will run into locals coming down from Delmar to guide you on your route. Met two groups of people that gave great directions to us. The ride, drive was well worth it. So picturesque, quiet and photo graph worthy. Our 6500 mile trip to Death Valley and Ryolite would have been incomplete without Delamar.

This is one of the most amazing ghost towns I've ever been to. The drive there is not an easy one, and I'd highly recommend a high clearance vehicle (especially as you get closer to the town.) There are a number of great remnants of the town still surviving. There are dozens of foundations, but there are also dozens more building that are in much better repair, including some with roofs. The wide variety of architecture and artifacts is mind-blowing. It's the type of place you could spend the better part of the day exploring. My favorite spots are the cemeteries. Also to be sure to keep an eye out for the wild horses that are frequently seen in the area. Rarely crowded. In fact, I have yet to see anyone else there on any of my visits. Hint: Bring water and a spare tire.

This is one of the most expansive ghost towns I've ever seen! Quite a number of buildings remaining and very well worth the drive! The road in is really good until the last couple miles... You'd need a high clearance vehicle to make that last little part, or hike it in... However you get there, it is well worth the trip

Spectacular scenary. Last few miles made my wife a little nervous, in our Jeep Grand Cherokee, but no issues. Not too much to see other than the scenary and a few rock walls, but we had a superb picnic at the top of the hill. Didn't see any other visitors while there. No cell service, naturally, so be prepared!

If your looking to get off the grid this is the perfect place to go. Walked 20 miles in one day with three friends and ran into Delamar Ghost Town. It felt like we were in a movie at one point, but I must say, it was BEAUTIFUL!! I plan on going back when I visit Vegas.
