Amazing. Do the private tour

OMG, the best tour ever. I had never driven a snowmobile before. But that was not a problem. The instructors were great, took about 10 minutes to get the hang of it. The view of the lake from up there was beautiful. It was very cold, so be sure to bundle up. Will definitely be coming back. This was definitely worth it.

Plan ahead leave extra time to get ready, find the sign in location. They are great group, will help wherever they can.
Good equipment, great people, our guide Thomas was informative, safe & provided a heads up talk at each leg of the tour, what to expect.

We had an awesome time snowmobiling for our first time. Two hours just wasn’t enough! We had unbelievable views of Lake Tahoe. Our guide was so friendly and stopped at various locations for amazing photo opportunities. Can’t recommend this adventure enough! Thank you for an incredible time.

I wish I had read the other google and Tripadvisor reviews before partaking. Everything said about the disregard for safety and sleazy billing practices are 100% true. Starting from the moment you walk in. I tried on at least a half dozen helmets and every one had a completely trashed (i.e., scratched) face shield. While this may seem inconsequential, it leaves the rider with two options on the trails: 1) Leave the face shield down while sacrificing visibility or 2) Leave the shield up exposing the rider to potential debris in the face, either begging for an accident. It speaks volumes about an organization that doesn't invest even modestly in their worn and aged equipment. Next up is the number of riders. It is obvious that revenue is far more important than safety. The trails are so overcrowded with groups, many of which approach head-on. At the outset of the ride I was more concerned about another participant hitting our sled but in the end it was the tour guide’s disregard for potential bodily harm at issue!! We were only 5 minutes into the ride when we came to our first stop. All riders were evenly and safely spaced from one another and I had the unfortunate position of being first behind our tour guide, Thomas. I was stopped at about 1.5 sled lengths in back of him when he directed me to move up. I comply. I am then approximately 1 sled length behind Thomas’ sled and he directs me to move up again. CONFUSING but I comply. At this point I am within 4 feet of Thomas’ sled and he directs me to move up once more. NOW BAFFLING!! I am an experienced motor vehicle operator (motorcycles, jet skis, race cars) and I already had a good sense of the throttle. A simple tap will cause the sled to lurch forward. I express my concern in no uncertain terms that I am too close but Thomas insists that I come closer. I comply with his directive, and you guessed, I rear end his bike. Had I been an ounce heavier on the throttle both of us could have been seriously injured! While shaken but relatively unharmed, this is where things start getting especially sleazy. Thomas calls over one of his co-workers and immediately points out the damage. BUT he conveniently leaves out the circumstances that caused the damage and I now know that Thomas is looking to place the blame on me. And sure enough, when we get back to the starting point Thomas tells me to wait for his boss. The boss comes and starts taking my information and informs me that I will be charged for the damage. And now it gets even sleazier. Thomas does a disappearing act! I explained what happened but I could have been talking to a wall. The boss then directs me to the BIG boss, Mark. I explain what happened, and once again, Thomas is nowhere to be found. Mark simply keeps repeating that I owe $135 and that “it is in the contract.” I reiterate that I was simply following his instructor’s directive but he just continues to recite “it is in the contract.” Why wasn’t Thomas there to accuse me of lying (that I caused the damage on my own??) I liken the experience to getting waived through a red light by a police officer to only get a ticket by his partner on the opposite corner. Why would Thomas ask me to move up when it was obvious what would likely occur? As irrational as it sounds, perhaps the operation likes sticking patrons with damage charges? And one last point – I even took the optional collision damage insurance at an extra $35 (which BTW, they don’t inform you about until you arrive at their facility) but there is a $750 deductible – of course there is! This is a sleazy and dangerous operation and I would avoid it at all costs.

Veronica was a great guide! Funny and knowledgeable of the area and trails. We rode doubles on 2 hour guided tour at 2 pm.
I suggest taking earlier tour if you are concerned about daylight or cooler temps.
We'd definitely do it again.

Please use another tour. This one is dangerous. Guide was way to fast in the trees and we hit a tree. A few chipped teeth and a lot of cuts and bruises, we left an extra $4000 for the damages. I thought like one reviewer how fast could they go with novices, I don't need insurance. The first flag should have been EMS bringing someone off the mountain; cannot say if they were with this service. The gentleman that towed the busted ski in said we were lucky to still be walking. Please use another company this one is unsafe!!!! Buyer beware. If you do use make sure you have health and snowmobile insurance and access to a wheel chair. You WILL need it.

We did a 2:00 ride on the last day of our trip. When your body may be tired from the slopes this is a great activities that doesn't beat you up.

Mike was our guide. Dude has been doing this almost 10 years and is the perfect mix of safety, fun, and polite. Everyone is our group is a redneck at heart and he was perfect for us.

Do not book with this company! My friends and I booked via their online reservation system approximately a month in advance and were excited to go February 2020. The day of our reservation, we made our way to the pickup site that was detailed in an email we received the day prior to our reservation. When we got to our pickup sight, there was nobody to pick us up. Come to find out Zephyr Cove had been closed all season and even though they had been closed at the time of reservation, they gladly took our money with no intention of taking us out on a tour. I tried calling them multiple times to file a grievance as well as ask if a refund was going to be issued and no one picked up the phone or returned my multiple messages. If you enjoy throwing away $800 please book with them. If not, I would look somewhere else.

Tour itself was great. Amazing views, quality equipment/rental gear and fun tour guides. One note of caution...Be careful who you book the tour through.

Tried booking direct prior to trip, no availability. Stopped into Lake Tahoe Adventures while walking through town and advised they had availability with attendance at a time share pitch for Diamond Resorts. While confirming reservation, the computers went down and the rep stated he would call me back to complete. No return call. Tried calling number on brochure multiple times no answer or return call from messages left.

Showed up for time share presentation just to be told because I did not bring my partner I came on the trip with, who by the way was not going on the snowmobile trip, i had to pay for it plus an additional charge. Livid given I was very clear we did not share expenses and I was alone given those I came with were skiing every day.

Zephyr Cove snowmobile trip highly recommended. Lake Tahoe Adventures and Diamond Resort proceed with caution. Upon arrival, was amazed to hear 2 other couples and a party of 7 having had similar issues with these same 2 companies

We booked onsite 2 days before. Entrance is at the restaurant lobby adjoining gift shop (on sidewalk of the main road = US 50). After donning rental gear, we took the shuttle ride to the snowmobile trail.
The ride was fun and fairly easy to maneuver even for us first timers. The views were breathtaking. Our guides Steve and Tyler were great: gave great instructions, were attentive, made sure our group stayed close, stopped occasionally to allow slow riders to catch up. The hot chocolate stop gave the groups a chance to meet up and chat about the experience. Only issue was the tour felt a bit shorter than anticipated.
