Ubud is a beautiful place, we have had a lovely lunch at the Tropical Views, the Nasi Goreng is very good.
After lunch, we proceeded to view the rice padi and shop along the two sides of the road whereby there are shops selling different things.
I walked into one of the shops, the first thing the shop keeper asked is where I come from. I saw some batik dresses to bring home for my mom, the asking price was high so I was planning to walk out of the shop, the shop keeper pull me back in and offered 25% of the asking price. I bought one and the shop keeper told me that she has to feed her family and asked me to buy another, I choose the color and paid. The shop keeper quickly put the two dresses into a black plastic bag and made two dead knots.
We went back to the hotel in the late afternoon. I need to cut open the bag to retrieve the dresses and found the second dress is full of holes. For all travelers, please do check all your goods before you pay as my trust in people has led to disappointment.
