Very scenic drive to a well kept spot. Neat parking and ablutions (on both sides of the road) and a visitors centre. A very short uphill walk with a rail to the waterfall. Almost feels like you didn’t earn your swim and the beautiful site after such a short walk.

Beautiful scenery with pleasant, friendly staff. More water than last year, so the falls were more spectacular. Very pretty, indigenous flowers along the walk to the falls. Not to be driven past. A visit to the falls is a must if you are anywhere near the area. Over 60's with mobility issues will find a hiking stick makes this an easier walk during wet weather than using the handrails provided, which are great when its dry.

My friend (she is 84 years old) and I parked in the parking area
We walked to the warfall, there is a rail which one can hold on all the time, which makes it safe
The mountain is beautiful
The place is clean no papers/other rubbish lying around on the way to the waterfall
The waterfall is beautiful, stunning - a place one should really visit. Just take your time walking to the top. There are places that one can stand still and rest
When we came down we used the rest room. It was clean with all the necessities

When driving the Swartberg Pass from Prince Albert, we were surprised to see a developed area to our left with parking and some rondawels. We simply had to stop and find out what was to see here! The first thing I noticed was how well taken care of the attraction is and the staff were very friendly. There are clean, safe toilets to use with enough paper and hand soap. The entrance offers plenty of parking, some picnic stone tables with seating, a nice little Karoo garden, tiny museum for a quick lesson on the area, small info office and of course the breathtaking setting of the Swartberg Pass surrounds.
After quickly exploring these, we took a walk up the easy and well demarcated path and as you turn the corner you hear the wonderful roar of the waterfall. The initial sight is beautiful and as you go higher and deeper, it just gets better. You can almost walk up to the main waterfall, but will get sprayed and the rocks are slippery. The water is crisp, cool and clean with the area itself being easy to navigate and even get to the other side across the rocks. I could literally spend all day there to just enjoy this incredible environment.
I would recommend a week day visit as I suspect it gets very busy during the weekend. We were there in August, after the snow has melted and on a Monday morning which offered total freedom to explore and some great pics with nobody spoiling the view.

beautifull waterfall, just an easy short hike up to it. park down ant the neat parking lot, with friendly staff working there. clean ablution facilities too.

We took a hike to the Meeringspoort Waterfall. A very gentle stroll to get there. The area around the waterfall is tranquil and beautiful. Unfortunately people don't seem to realise that the area needs to remain pristine, yet they still litter all over the place. Otherwise worth the hike.

Driving through Meiringspoort is defiantly an experience as it has breathtaking mountains surrounding the road and multiple rivers that you drive over.
The parking lot, toilets and general area for the waterfall are very well maintained with very friendly staff who will let you know if they have any weather coming in. To get to the waterfall its a very short hike over a pathway that's been built and upon reaching the waterfall you are able to walk down onto the rocks.
The waterfall itself is very pretty and would have been a very nice spot to sit and relax for a short while if the general area around the waterfall hadn't smelt like urine.

The Meiringspoort Waterfalls are a sight you have to see and experience. The short walk to the falls is well maintained. There is ample parking and the public ablutions are clean and tidy.

Great rest spot with a beautiful view and a refreshing water hole to take a dip in. Might be a little out of the way and sometimes other visitors litter or take over the place a bit.

There is a picnic spot near to the falls, next to the river, but the falls are not visible from there. You have to walk to the waterfall.
