After seeing the Isamunoguchi exhibition in Tokyo, I wanted to go there someday, but finally my dream came true. I have also been to the Isamunoguchi Museum of Art in Mure, which I was very interested in because of the large number of works and the unfinished works and performing arts.
At the same time, I think you will get a better understanding by visiting the outdoor sculptures of Isamunoguchi (red cubes, sunken gardens) scattered around Manhattan.
Access is quite a hassle, as others have written. The walking route on the subway is introduced, but I personally recommend the subway + bus route as it is not very popular. It was convenient because the bus stop was just a short walk away. I recommend using an app like google or transit.

We all were mesmerized by the sheer power and vision of the place. It is a must see!
Respect, gratitude, and a humbing experience. Best museum I have ever been to and I have been to dozens all over the world.

In the Noguchi Museum, you can think that Palestinian people deserve to live in dignity and safety in their homes and villages, but you cannot say it. You cannot show it, because it is a place that forbids wearing Palestinian scarves.

Museum and sculpture garden designed and created by Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi originally opened in 1985 before his death in 1988. When it opened, it was the first such museum to be established by a living artist in America. Noguchi is famous for his sculptures many carved from stone and his public artworks but also is remembered for his influence on contemporary mid-century furniture including the Noguchi Coffee Table. A large collection of his works are on display at the museum. It wasn't busy when we stopped in making for a peaceful visit. The art is interesting, but I wish they had a much better Audio Guide. The Museum App made it hard to appreciate what is on display. I found the organization of the app confusing, and the information provided was quite tedious. $16 entry charge.

Of all the museums in NYC, this one is by far the most valuable. (I am a member of the Met and MoMA, too.
Isamu Noguchi's vision for the world is a much needed message for today.

The Noguchi Museum is a magical place. Outdoor sculpture garden, indoor exhibits leave one with a feeling of calm, and artistically satisfied. Walking around and through the exhibits, helps bring one up close to the artists works and emotional states.

Great artwork and a wonderful venue for all of it!
This museum showcases the work of Isamu Noguchi; most of his work is abstract. The space itself is part of the exhibit and is brilliantly conceived.
There is a nice museum shop, too.

I ine here every few years for a break from a hectic world. I sit in their extensive statue garden that is a refuge from a busy New York. There are numerous beaches not only in the garden but throughout the museum.
They also have a lovely gift shop
Offering done high end and dine fairly priced objects d’art. Great spot to visit gur a small admittance once. One nite thst parking is available in streets but dine times difficult to find.

Great museum, unexpectedly intense artwork. I never thought about the Noguchi Museum until someone recommended it. I went with friends and though the second floor of the two-floor museum (plus a sculpture garden) was closed (I received a fifty percent refund on admission) my friends and I enjoyed seeing Noguchi's works. It's housed in a great space on Queens and the sculptures are spaced nicely and visits are timed so there are not too many visitors at once. The outdoor sculpture garden is unique and although we couldn't sit and enjoy it because it was riding too hard the day we visited, it's a gem of a spot. The museum shops cool stuff, but expensive as all museum stores are. I'd visit again to see the second floor exhibits.

This smallish museum is full of beautiful sculptures of mostly stone. Works are arranged in several galleries on two floors and in an outdoor garden area. The outdoor garden is especially wonderful. There is a paved path but also benches. Take a bit of time to sit to listen and look. The garden does an amazing job of muting the city noise.
Inside there is an elevator, bathrooms and a gift shop. The shop has some beautiful, interesting and unique items. I just bought postcards. Photography is allowed within the museum. Don't touch the sculptures!
We made reservations online before our visit as recommended. Masks were required inside (thank you). There were several people there when we were, but it was not crowded at all. We drove and were able to park on the street just a block away.
Artwork is primarily by Isamu Noguchi but works by others are there too. As noted in another review read about the museum before you go for mare impact.
Highly recommend.

I realise that these things are subjective, but how long do you think one should allow to visit this museum and is it close to the Socrates sculpture garden?
Skrevet 11. mars 2016
I would spend about one hour, plus or minus, in the Noguchi Museum. Well worth the visit! The Socrates Sculpture Garden is a short two block walk from the Noguchi. You could spend another 30-45 minutes there exploring and feasting on the view of the skyline of Manhattan. Two hours to visit both should work.
