MorningStar is a group that was about to take us on a Safari in Kenya when we suddenly faced a nightmarish situation.
Young men Dennis and Alex were ready to pick us up to go on a safari. We were a group of six and our average age was 75. One person in our group, slumped and fell as he was coming to join us at the reception. He had a cardiac arrest and passed away in the corridor. Everything went topsy- turvy.
Dennis and Alex came over and immediately told us they will take care of everything and we didn’t have to do anything. Exactly according to their words, the employees of Morning Star were with us from the first day until they put us in the plane back to the US.
Morning star employees said they will take care of every detail for us and told us we can continue to stay in the same hotel and do not have to worry about anything. Sure enough we did not have to hassle with anything. They took care of the formalities in the funeral home, procuring the death certificate, informing the US Embassy. At the same time they were talking to us and helping us to process our grief. Alex and Dennis took on the whole responsibility with a smile.
The MorningStar employees made everything easy, smooth and efficient. I recommend them from the bottom of my heart for any group that wants to go on a Safari. These are great guys who make sure you are in comfort throughout and will, I am sure, will give you an unforgettable Safari experience!

Dennis our travel consultant went out of his way to create an itinerary that covered everything we wanted to do and he was prompt with all responses despite the many changes that we made. Our 9 day safari to Kenya and Tanzania which included 4 national parks went off without a hitch. The accommodation and food were excellent, our drivers Alex, Jackson and Augustine were all fabulous, seeking out the animals we wanted to see and trying to get us as close as possible, telling us stories, willingly sharing their vast knowledge of the animals and parks and allowing us plenty of time to take photos. Everything went very smoothly and was well above our expectations. Everywhere we went we felt very welcome which made the whole experience truly memorable. Don't hesitate to use Morningstar Safaris - just book it!

We had an unforgettable 8-day safari across Kenya.
From the very start, Dennis made us feel like we were in great hands. He was always quick to respond, providing detailed and professional advice. He even sent us a comprehensive PDF with suggestions for our tour, including prices for each activity – an impressive level of transparency that we didn’t see from other agencies. Everything was extremely well-organized, from the accommodations to the overall logistics.
Our next stroke of luck was our tour guide, Rono. He was the perfect guide for us – incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and an excellent, safe driver in the Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4. During the game drives, he consistently found incredible wildlife and positioned us perfectly for photos. Thanks to him, we had an extraordinary experience, spotting all of the Big Five within just three days! Every day brought new highlights, making it hard to choose a single “best” moment.
We wholeheartedly recommend Morningstar for an unforgettable safari experience.

I can only advise. Accurate, honest, serious and punctual!
Trips customized according to needs, let’s say that thanks to them you can go on a safari forgetting the Italian travel agencies (much more expensive). You book a flight on nairobi and then organize a holiday according to your needs. In our case we also had the transfer booked by train from nairobi to Mombasa to do some sea. Return by plane from Mombasa

From the initial research of our trip, it quickly became clear that Morning Star were the team we wanted to partner with. Communication was so quick and thorough, and Dennis was extremely flexible in accommodating changes and providing guidance throughout the whole process. For a trip like this, value for money was more important to us than finding the cheapest price. We felt that professionalism and expertise were the best possible investments, and I’m very pleased to say we got it right!
Our 8-day Kenya & Tanzania safari was seamlessly executed, between pick-ups, drop-offs, check-ins and day trips, it never once felt hectic. The team always had everything well in hand, but still allowed us flexibility to determine the intensity of each day, what we wanted to experience and what our energy levels were capable of.
Erick was our guide throughout our visit to the Masai Mara, and he filled our days with stunning animal sightings and lots of laughter. The hot air ballooning was truly a breathtaking experience.
Jackson guided us on the Tanzania leg of our trip, and he went to incredible lengths to ensure we got maximum exposure to all the animals we wanted to see. We spent our evenings listening to his stories and getting to know the wonderful person he is. It made an already incredible trip even more special to us.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Morning Star to anyone looking for both a seamless and extremely memorable Safari experience.

We did a 5 day 4 night safari in August with Alex Masila (both driver and guide) who has 15 years of safari experience. We spent 1.5 days in Lake Nakuru and 2.5 days in Masai Mara and saw the big 5 and countless other game and bird as well. Learned a lot about all the wildlife we saw. The 4x4 toyota was very comfortable and spacious especially since we had a private tour and the roof popped open as well.
Wanda was very communicative over WhatsApp when we were planning and booking so it didn’t take long to secure the dates and accommodations.

We did 9 days of safari in Kenya. We visited Tsao, Amboseli, Lo petja,Nakuru,Naivasha and Masai Mara.
Alice was very helpful from the very first contact. Her timely response to my numerous questions were much appreciated. She made our trip memorable. Will recommend Alice and Morning Star without any reservation.
Tim,our guide and driver,was very good and a great spotter. His knowledge of the "bush country" and humor was well appreciated.
All in all this was the best safari trip I have been to in Africa..and I have been to a total of five!!!

We spent the most incredible time in Kenya. Thanks to a great organization by the Morningstar team and a great execution by James our driver and now new family member. The people, the nature and the landscapes are so great and breathtaking. We hat a great time with memories for life. We can highly recommend the company as from first contact to execution everything was very professional and dedicated. Asante sana for everything!

We can’t speak highly enough of Morningstar Safaris. Dennis was so very friendly and helpful when we were going through the fact finding and booking stage. He was so very quick and thorough with his communication….we actually don’t think he sleeps! Our itinerary for our 12 day safari / beach combo was really detailed and was tailored perfectly for us as a family.
Alex was our guide for the safari part of our trip, travelling to 6 different national parks all over Kenya. He was amazing and such a big part of what made our trip so memorable. Such a friendly and happy person, making us all feel so comfortable… even our teenage kids! His knowledge was impeccable and enthusiasm was so infectious, we loved soaking it all in. He definitely had the magic touch and made our time so very special.

For our 9-day safari we visited Tsavo west, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Ol Pejeta, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara. Big thanks to Alice and the whole team for organizing everything and making us feel well taken care off during the whole trip.
Our driver guide was an excellent driver, and it was very clear that he knew all the parks very well. He made sure we found all the good spots, and we got to see almost everything we wanted to see, including a leopard and a river crossing in Masai Mara.
The reason we can’t give a 5-star review is because of shortcomings in our view related to our driver guide. In short we expected our driver guide to be our guide, in addition to our driver. We felt that the role as guide was less prioritized and he focused only on the work of being a driver.
From the start we did not get the impression that he was interested in getting to know us. We felt it was difficult to keep a conversation going, and he was using his phone a lot.
We expressed on several occations that we wanted as much time spent on game drives as possible. Almost always he proposed less time driving, and we had to negotiate to get some more time. This made us feel quite uncomfortable. At times we felt the mood in the car was not good, and on several occations felt we were a liability.
In Masai Mara he proposed a game drive much shorter than what was stated in our itenerary. We raised this with the booking team, which clearified this with the driver, making the last safari day worry-free and a wonderfull day for us.
On a last note, we would absolutely consider traveling with Morningstar again, and also recommend them to our family and friends. We would however try to better align the expectations prior to arrival.
