What a brilliantly knowledgeable man ! Just so interesting on our tour, Will put it across so well and with various light hearted comments to keep us entertained.
We did the morning tour and we were able to ask various questions and he knew all the answers! The tour in particular covered plants and birds and we seen a broad diverse range of them .

To say that Will is very knowledgable is a big understatement. Having said that he was very amiable and we enjoyed his walks and talk so much that we went back for a second dose!

We stayed for a week this summer in the Isles of Scilly and found Will Wagstaff who runs nature tours around the islands. We went on a boat rip to see sea birds, and an island walk to see land birds. Will was most informative, really friendly and found birds in places we'd never have looked. A most interesting man and worth looking up. We found him on the Quay in Hugh Town, St Mary's.

We took two trips with Will during our stay on St Mary's. The first was a bird watching one to the Isle of St Agnes. Will was excellent at spotting birds and wild life on Agnes. Not only did we see wildlife but Will showed us several of the pre-historic burial grounds on the island and talked about the history of the Island. An excellent trip. Our second trip was on a boat safari to see the wildlife on the islands from the sea. Even in September we were not to be disappointed with the number of bird species to be seen. Perhaps the highlight of the morning was seeing a group of dolphins who came and swam right next to the boat.
Talking to others we seemed to be the only people who had not taken a trip with Will before. In fact many people who return to the Isles of Scilly always seem to take one if not more trips with Will during their stay. We shall follow in their footsteps when we next return to Scilly.

We had a brilliant morning with Will around Bryher. He is very knowledgeable but is also very easy to be with. No question is too silly and he talked about the birds, butterflies, flowers and local history.

Will Wagstaff took us to Bryher and it was incredible how much he know about the wildflowers, butterflies, birds and stories about the islands. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would certainly go another time

It was a real treat to be led round Bryher by William Wagstaff. We got so much more from our visit than if we’d been on our own. The leader’s style is easygoing and aimed at making the experience pleasurable as well as informative.

We went on two Wildlife walks with Will Wagstaff during our recent trip to the Scillies - Tresco and St Mary’s. Will has a blackboard on the Quay with details of what walks he is doing. Some of his walks also appeared on the ‘What’s on sheet’ provided by the Tourist Information Centre on St Mary’s. In April 2018 the cost was £7 for half a day and £14 for a whole day. Boat fares are on top (e.g. £9.50 return to Tresco). The half day finishes near a pub/restaurant so you don’t have to bring food. He goes at a steady space and stops frequently to allow all to catch up. Will carries a spotting scope and sets it up so everyone can see more clearly various birds etc. He is very knowledgeable on plants and the history as well as the wildlife of the region. We had two thoroughly enjoyable walks and we would absolutely recommend them.

The St Mary's walk is really worth doing, Will is very knowledgeable and explains every creature and plant that he sees along the route.

I recently went on a day trip to Tresco with Will. I met him at his black board on St. Mary's Quay where hi posts his trips each day. Will was fun to be with. He knew everything about the birds, flowers, plants and history of the island. Will carried a spotting scope, so we were able to visualize the birds well.The tour was not expensive (around 7 gap.) I definately got my money's worth. Even though I it was cold and rainy that day, I did not mind. It was one of the best days I had while visiting England.

Hi Eleanor the walks are Monday to Friday between April and October, visiting each of the inhabited islands when weather and tide permits. You can join for half or whole day. Please see Will's Island Wildlife Tours website for further details.
