This was our first trip to Colemine Beach Holiday Park, and the first time we had actually stopped at Walpole and stayed over, having passed through it many times, but never actually stopping - a mistake we will not make again! We arrived at Colemine Beach with our caravan in tow, a reception committee of 3 kangaroo's was there to meet us! The office staff, were excellent, quick to help and answere any questions and to get us booked in. The site was easy to get into and the power and water was ready for use, the campground we were on had woodland mulch down, which made for a clean and easy set up. The campground has numerous site all neat and tidy and well maintained, plenty of bins for rubbish and each site seemed to have a container recycling bin, you cannot bring your own firepit to this campground but firepits are provided and when fires are permitted I believe that they will sell you wood. (we did not need a fire when we were there, due to exceptionally warm weather,) and a current fire ban in place as the whole of South WA has not had rain for months! the camp kitchen was clean and tidy, well maintained and clean BBQ's there was a large enclosed sitting area with a huge tv to relax in inclement weather! The park has a very woodland feel and despite all the mod cons avail, you felt it was like "Bush Glamping" lots birds are around, and animals the usual roo's and King Skinks (cute lizards) for those that don't know! and completely harmless! TOILETS - the bane of any campsite, well no worries here - immaculate, well maintained, clean, and the showers - gushed with good hot water - much needed after a day on the water! We went there to fish - The water is accessed from the campsite down some stairs and you step in, for boats there is a boat ramp that is easily accessed at the end of the campsite on the road in. for those with no boats - again no worries! the flats are shallow and you can wander till your hearts content fishing , safe water for kayaks and paddle boarders, nature lovers, you can watch fairy wrens from the comfort of your campsite, or wander and see a ton of local flora and fauna! wander the flats to the left of the boat ramp and watch ospreys fishing from the cliff tops, there are a ton of walks and trails in the national park. WALPOLE - 2 mins drive from the park, has everything you need for your holiday. All information can be obtained from the park office!

This has got to be one of the best campgrounds in WA and one of my favourites, no pillows or other areas like that, this is an outdoor family's playground, with nature providing the adventure, great for kids as the water is shallow plenty of hidden beaches around the inlet! and with trees all around every site, plenty of shade on the hottest of days. Recommended - yes, we only stayed for 2 nights but next time we will be down for a lot longer - so much to do and see.

Highly recommend, this park to stay in and the whole area! it was a pleasure being there. Thank you for a great stay.

This Park offers spectacular coastal views and in season the chance to spot a whale or two. A viewing platform at Conspicuous Cliffs provides this viewing opportunity. Or take a stroll east along the Bibbulmun track and have a picnic lunch at the Rame Head shelter before returning to the car park, a 6.8 km round trip which should be avoided on hot days.

From the coast to the Tingle forests this park is vast and has a variety of activities and suits a range of interests. We did the everything at the Valley of the Giants, Hilltop drive including the Giant Tingle tree and Circular Pool. On the coast we went to Conspicuous Cliffs and saw lots of wildflowers everywhere we went.

So many interconnected areas of reserve and National Parks, other States could learn something from this.

The coastline in the Walpole-Nornalup National Park is continuously being pounded by the waves which creates some spectacular scenery. There may not be a lot of child safe swimming here, but it is worth the drive to observe this beautiful area

Hilltop Lookout is on Hilltop Road between Nornalup and Walpole in the south of Western Australia. It is accessible to normal passenger cars.

The lookout is not far from the famous Tree Top Walk and other features in this amazing area appropriately called The Valley of the Giants - giant Karri and Tingle trees.

The lookout is an easily accessible car parking area with a seat looking down over the Nuyts Wilderness and over the Frankland River to Nornalup Inlet and the coast out to the offshore islands with Southern Ocean huge waves breaking onto their shores.

Forest country is on either side of the viewing corridor. Birds abound. Especially New Holland Honey Eaters and White Breasted Robins and more. One can spend ages here just looking, listening, admiring and taking photographs.

After that, you drive along the road through giant trees to other destinations. Well worth this side trip.

The $7.00 park fee allows the visitor to enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest, the waterways, beaches and rugged coastal areas, towering trees and scrub. Probably its most important residents are the giant gnarled Tingle Trees which are found in no other part of the world. Drive through the Valley of the Giants and marvel at these magnificent trees or take the Tree-Top Walk through the forest canopy. The Bibbulmun Track passes through the area. Too much to write about; a visit to the Park is a must.
