Stunning cave

Worth spending a good 45 - 60 mins looking around and reading the various info posted around. Excellent photo opportunities too

Cave is a marvelous experience
okt. 2021
I have visited most of the tourist caves in the Southwest of Western Australia and I would have to say Ngilgi Cave is one of the best. It's a marvelous experience. Nigli Cave has lots of formations (stalagmites and statagtites) which will interest visitors. It is quite a long cave, just watch your step. You should also consider how far you are going to go if you are prone to claustrophobia, though you are unlikely to come to any harm.

An amazing experience
sep. 2021
This was an absolutely amazing experience. The tour takes you many metres below the ground surface and it is absolutely worth it.

The cave itself is over a hundred metres long. Some of it is quite tight and low, so may be of concern if you are claustrophobic. However, there are many large chambers which you might want to stay in.

Either way, you will see many of the hundreds, if not thousands, of stalactites and stalagmites in the cave. They virtually glow in the dark and give the cave an amazing atmosphere.

Even though we went in mid winter, the cave itself is quite warm and humid. Something for you to consider.

The tour guides were excelent. They were friendly, helpful and full of local knowledge. Ten out of Ten.

I highly recommend coming and having a look at this marvel of nature.

A challenging cave
sep. 2021
This is quite a challenging cave so our plan on entry was to visit the amphitheater and then to see how we went with the lower part of the cave. The stairs are quite narrow and there are quite a few of them there are also some areas that are very low to get to. There are 360 stairs down to the bottom of the cave. We took the stairs down to the amphitheater and had a look around, we were lucky Robb had his torch with him so that we could check out all the little nooks and crannies. From here we walked back up to the entry to the lower cave and we walked about a quarter of the way down but then decided that there wouldn't be much different if we walked all the way down so we returned to the surface from here. We enjoyed this cave and would recommend it to others.

Quite a challenging cave
aug. 2021 • Familie
We went with a large group. I suffer from claustrophobia and found this very steep cave. The guides and staff were great, but I wasn’t prepared for the depth and bending down. My son got very frightened and after trying to calm him down we took him out.

A great experience
A must do when down south, absolutely amazing and stunning cave. There are a good few steps to get about and low areas but so worth it. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful experiences with Margaret River region Caves and Lighthouse tours
jun. 2021
We had wonderful experiences with Margaret River region Caves and Lighthouse tours in June 2021. The staff were very helpful and it showed they loved their jobs, especially Sean at Ngilgi Cave, Holly at Jewel cave, Kira at Cape Naturalist Lighthouse and Sandra at Cape Leeuwin LH.
Their interactions with my wife and I exceeded our expectations, so congratulations to them all!

Great fun but lots of steps.
Researched and booked online so we were well aware of the number of steps to climb down.
Took a five and three year old with us who once they were inside the cave were super excited to explore it by following the steps.
Tour guide gave enough information to self explore and was on hand to answer any questions.
The tunnel proved to be an excellent attraction but after six times down it I (more my knees) had enough. Kids on the other hand did not.
Heed the warnings before going, there are lots of uneven steps, tight areas with low head room, slightly higher CO2 levels and damn in there.
The cave itself is fascinating and a great place to visit.

Awesome Cave
jun. 2021 • Par
This is the 6th cave visited in the Margaret River region and perhaps one of the more interesting ones for its depth (over 30 m), narrow passages and the 1 km circuit. An adventure tour which involves crawling through tight spaces is on offer but was not available at the time of visit due to Covid restrictions. For caving enthusiasts this cave offers a good variety of features including stalagmites, stalactites, veils, helictites and beautifully coloured shawls. This cave also has an interesting history with its spiritual link to Aboriginal peoples. This is the first cave attraction in the region open to the public and it is associated with the purpose built Caves Hotel, a heritage listed property located nearby.
