Een geweldig National Park waar je verschillende wandelingen kunt maken van strand naar strand.
Hellfire en Lucky Bay zijn zeker de moeite waard , maar ook de wandelingen zijn geweldig, als je geluk hebt zie je onderweg (kangoeroes op het strand) en slangen ( tigersnake gezien )

The NP is so beautiful! The wildflowers are blooming and the landscape is amazing. The roas are fine for all vehicles, with some 4wd tracks too. Lots of parking available at the main spots. Take your own water as there is no drinking water available.

Had a great day here. Stunning beaches and great walks. The Frenchman’s Peak walk was a lot tougher than some tourist brochures suggested. Instead believe the sign at the base of the walk which is more realistic about how tough it is.

I had high expectations as everyone raved about Lucky Bay but I found Hellfire bay was the nicest of the bunch. The area is beautiful and well worth a visit.

What a stunning NP. We flew over this park the day before so it was lovely to see from ground level as well. Le Grand Beach was beautiful. There was a walk from there up to a lookout which was lovely, then on to Frenchmans Peak. There were many people hiking up to the peak. Would be a pretty hard climb and the day was quite hot. On to Hellfire Bay which was absolutely stunning. We did the hike around to Little Hellfire Bay which was even more stunning. There were some gorgeous wildflowers and banksias in flower which were stunning. Then on to Whistling Rock and Thistle Cove and Lucky Bay which was packed. You can actually drive your 4WD's down on to beach so many people were doing that.
This NP was so well worth the drive and many hikes throughout the park which are amazing.

The beaches and views were amazing. Well worth visiting. 4 wheel Drive along the beaches is available. Some of the best beaches in Australia in this area.

An easy drive from Esperance, Cape Le Grand National Park should be on the ‘must do’ list if touring in the area. The park is accessible by conventional 2 wheel drive on sealed roads. The scenery is breathtaking and the combination of white sand and the translucent blue waters (the sunlight refracting in the quartz in the sand) makes for some memorable beach stops. A truly great day out. If you have all the gear you are able to camp in designated camping areas, it’s very popular so essential to book online.

White sand pristine beaches with turquoise water. You hear about such places but only the the privileged get to view and enjoy this piece of heaven. Lucky to have found a wallaby on the beach at Lucky Bay

It’s a beach for driving on. Lots of 4x4 racing up and down!
Very exposed and quite frankly not worth all the hype.
Better beaches to be had like Hellfire beach, Thistle cove if you don’t want to get run over by a 4x4.

Definitely summer months but early in the morning as it can get windy and blistering hot. I would definitely take a sun shade of some description and lots of sun act. White sand and sun are a perfect combination for severe sunburn.. trust me I found out the hard way...
Would also be a great place to visit in the milder months but on a sunny but no wind day.

As far as I know you can't. You can get back to Esperance if the tide is right though.

Hi,
When we were at Lucky Bay last month, there were 4WDs on the beach. Camping, I believe, is definitely in prescribed areas which are currently being extended. Ask at the Park entrance for guidance or ask the ranger.

We would like to camp at CLGNP (or Lucky Bay?) for a week or two over the Xmas/New Year period this year. We will be coming from our home in Denmark (west of Albany). I understand there are only 15 campsites available on a first come first served basis. We wouldn't like to drive all this way and find the camp full. We have some flexibility around dates. If we arrive on say 20th December, would be likely to find a spot? And if the park is full, are there other campsites in the vicinity that you would recommend?

I'm sure there must be a way of pre-booking a campsite, but I would suggest you contact the National Park to establish this. When we were there last month, there was a notice to advise that the number of camp pitches was being extended to something around 73, but I don't know the timeframe. Last month we drove from Denmark to Albany, then on to Esperance - the total journey time was around 7 hours (keeping to your speed limits).

You definitely don't need a 4WD to get there and around the other beaches nearby. A small bus/van could take all of you easily.
