Terrible Concert Venue

This is a terrible venue to see a concert. The whole experience from trying to get in to trying to leave is miserable. We saw Paul McCartney in May 2022, but based on other reviews every concert is the same. For one, the area and the people managing crowd control are Ill-equipped to handle large crowds. There is no signage directing traffic to parking lots or directing pedestrians into the stadium. As a result, traffic was exceptionally slow around the stadium prior to the concert. Things didn’t get better once we were parked. Despite there being several entrances, there was no signage indicating where they are. As a result most attendees joined one very long line that went halfway around the stadium and moved very slowly. Only after leaving my partner in line did I discover another entrance with a much smaller line. After the concert, traffic was also terrible with too many cars exiting onto to few streets.

Seating in the stadium is substandard. The seats in the stands are benches with no arm rests. Maybe the allocated space per “seat” is adequate for young college students, but it is inadequate for average sized adults. Prepared to be jammed in tightly with your neighbors. The bench material is also hard and uncomfortable.

A concert here feels like a scam. Bringing in big name acts to a stadium that is not equipped to handle them. I know I will not choose to attend a concert here again.

Great college stadium

This stadium is on the small side, but all seats have a great view of the field and the players. The crowd noise and pumped -in music was awesome, and the opening fly-over by six planes trailing smoke was impressive. As the planes circled round and round the stadium for a long time, it looked like we were in the eye of a massive smoke-filled hurricane. The concession stands left a lot to be desired, with empty drink machines by half-time. The burgers were dry and not very tasty. Overall-a very good college football experience.

No bad seats here

Because of the rather small number of seats-31,500- there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Parking is fairly accessible. The bathrooms are clean and the concessions good. They do have a clear bag policy so be advised.

NOT the place to see a concert - Billy Joel

We went to see the Billy Joel concert this past October, and getting into BB&T Field by car was an absolute nightmare. Whoever was in charge of traffic control was completely in over his/her head. Cars were sitting at a standstill, it was so bad. I hope the city of Winston Salem and the Wake Forest University Office of Public Safety can find a better way to manage traffic flow into the stadium if they plan on using the BB&T Field for future concerts.

Lovely Deamon Deacons stadium! Big enough to feel like good college football but not overwhelming. Must,must sit on the McCrary Tower side. The visitor's side get RELENTLESS scorching sun. This place will make you feel the Wake Forest spirit. Oh, yes the restrooms are ample and very clean. Proud to be a Deac dad for sure.

NEVER EVER go to a concert here WORST experience ever

This was the worst concert experience I have EVER had and we completely wasted money going there. You may run out of gas just trying to get into the parking areas. Plan on a minimum of two extra hours travel time or more just to wait in their lines to be parked and in the traffic leading to the stadium. Friends who made it in for the concert shared that the "field" is mostly bleachers and the "seats" are numbered as if you are the girth of a 6 yr old. You will be angled and on top of each other. I wish I could give a - (ie negative rating). DO NOT waste your money going here. They will not help you. They will not refund you. Its awful. Also make sure to read the clear bag policy and allowed things to bring in (ex there are cushion rules)

great ballpark

This is a really nice minor league ballpark for this area. The facilities are clean and first rate. The scoreboard/video screen has good visibility, the nearby parking is OK (especially if you get there early enough), and the between-innings entertainment is very creative and amusing. Baseball games held on Friday evenings feature "Friday fireworks" soon after the game, which is an added bonus.

Billy Joel Concert

This is a great venue for football games but for concerts, I can’t say the same. We are an older couple and had seats way at the top. Cold metal bench seats were far too uncomfortable in the freezing cold wind so we ended up walking around the whole concert and watching from wherever we could find a good spot to watch....which it seemed many other people had the same idea. Also, we aren’t drinkers and really coulda used a hot cup of coffee. They might wanna add that to their concessions.

We traveled for the ND/Wake game in Sept. Other than thinking we were going to croak due to heat, we had a great time. The speakers near the visiting fan area wasn't as horrible as years ago. Clean, comfortable and great staff. Parking was easy and close to stadium. Get there early. Easy out after the game. All in all fun day.(we won, that helped too)

wonderful experience seeing billy joel

We had a wonderful experience at this stadium. The staff was very friendly directing us in to the parking lot. Parking was $20 with plenty of spaces and across the street from the gate. The parking area is well lit in the evening so that you can find your vehicle easily. There is plenty of security and we felt very safe. There is also plenty of food vendors that included funnel cakes, cotton candy, sodas, etc. We came to see billy joel, and when they turned out the stadium lights, it was magical. We had seats in the mid section that were actual padded chairs that were very comfortable. The sound level was just right. Would come here again for a concert.
