Loved walking on the ocean floor and seeing all the different rock formations. Well worth the walk down to the ocean. Beautiful views.

Visit this park for once in a life time experience. I was able to walk quite a bit during low tide and explore the rocks and the river. Make sure to wear good shoes even though I explored the area in my sandals. Was lucky to see the hide tide as well. Check the tide schedule before going so that you can witness both the tides. We took the shuttle both ways, costs$2 per person, keep the receipt for the return. The entrance fee is abt $16-$18 per person. The park is clean, visitor Center is very informative, you can get guided tours as well. Saw a group of people with a guide and he sounded very informative and interesting. Bought some beautiful souvenirs from the shop at the visitor Center. Lots of free parking. The hide tide cafe food was good as well. Overall worth the visit.

This was a once in a lifetime experience in terms of you only really have to do it once. It was cool to see, especially because it is the highest tide in the world. I thought from pictures, that you might get to walk the area a bit further than we did. It's roped off to a relatively small section. We probably should have taken more of the hikes around the area, but we didn't. Glad we went but I was a little underwhelmed.

I had never seen such natural places.
It’s safe to do, but I don’t understand why paying CAD 18.23 for admission, so yes of course you can come back the next day but once it’s done, and you don’t stay there the day either, and I think you don’t go back, there are other beautiful places to see and do in the area.
I find the Award too high, I imagine there is an explanation.

an extraordinary place to see at low and high tide. Everything is changing. The simple fact of walking on the strike gives you landmarks that will then be important to see the rise of this water up to 8 or 9 meters. Few people during our visit making the site even more attractive

This experience cannot be experienced anywhere else in the world! Put it on your bucket list! The tide differential is amazing. The site is well laid out and kept clean. The interpretive centre is modern, very informative and interesting for all ages. The washrooms were very clean. There was plenty of on-site parking close to the entrance.
Be sure to check the time of the tides before you go. To get the full experience you need to visit at both high and low tides and you need to plan what you will do for the few hours in between. I suggest it's better to do it all in one day to save the time needed to drive to and from the park. So go see the tide, then come back and spend some time at the centre (there is a restaurant there) and relax while you wait a few hours fir the next tide. By far the best thing about the park is the staff. They are super friendly and helpful. Be sure to talk to some of them, They have lots of information and probably some funny stories too. n.b. We did not go on a tour, we explored the site on our own.

A bit pricy, but you won’t be disappointed. We did all the walks. Where good shoes as some on the declines and inclines are a bit steep. A shuttle is offered for a price for those who can’t make the walks. A great 1+ hours and a very good day. Lower tide walks are available first thing in the morning before the tide starts to come back in.
The rock formations are better at the Ocean bed walk area. Restaurant available at this area as well.
Good infor center with a bit of a shopping area

Hopewell Rocks is an absolutely amazing place to experience the tides on the Bay of Fundy. The swing between high and low tide exceeds 40 feet at spring tides, which occur at the time of the full or new moon. Check that all out before planning your trip. The park website includes tide tables.
It is essential to plan to see both high and low tide, which occur a little over six hours apart. Park admission is good for two days, so you can see the high tide the first day and low tide the next, or vice versa. We saw high tide one afternoon, and low tide the next morning. It's an experience not to be missed.
There are multiple viewpoints, but our favorite is Staircase Cove. It's a half-mile hike from the Interpretive Center, or you can take a shuttle for a nominal fee. At low tide, there is a staircase allowing access to the bay floor.

Experience the tides of the Bay of Fundy. Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park is a must see. The cliff formations are spectacular. Experience the tides and walk the ocean floor.

We were lucky enough to have taken a kayak tour with Baymoutn Adventures the day before our visit to Hopewell Rocks (and the entrance ticket was good for two consecutive days). I was even more impressed to compare low tide to high tide.
It's a very touristy place, even if it was Monday, it was crowded.
The canteen is very friendly and ice cream is cheap.

Just curious if there is an easier way down to the floor. My mom isn't as mobile as she once was.
Skrevet 9. februar 2019
Yes, they offer shuttles from the office to the platform and then it is a short walk from there. Just ask them what time the last shuttle goes to bring you back up.

Is there an easier way down? Just curious since we maybe traveling with someone who isn't as mobile.
Skrevet 9. februar 2019
you can get a ride up/down with them if you ask. There is a set of stairs that actually goes down to the ocean base from where you would be left off - you'd still have to do the stairs. And the ocean base is not level, has a lot of rocks, so that may be difficult to walk on as well for some people.

Would you wear tennis shoes that you will throw away?
Skrevet 21. juni 2018
I wore my running shoes and they have an area to clean the soles near the stairs

Hi. We plan to visit on July 9th, 2018. What time should we be there to see everything? Thanks in advance.
Skrevet 25. mai 2018
Check to see what time is low tide. That would be the best time.

Hi..
Hi,
Thanks for your comments in tripadvisor.
I need an advise where to stay , if i am visiting Hopewell rocks, Cape Enrage, Fundy trial.
I am landing on Moncton and have kept two days to visit Moncton and adjacent cities (Saint John, Saint Andrew) .
Any advise what to see in Saint John , Saint Andrew. I am travelling with my wife and 2 kids.
Actually, i am travelling for 2 weeks to visit NB, NS, PEI and just two days in Newfoundland..
Any suggestions on places to stay and nice places to visit.
Me and my wife are planning the itinerary, it is not easy ..Need help.
Thanks so much..

Subu - Thanks for your inquiry about places to visit in Southern NB. Because of distance between, Moncton - Hopewell Cape (Rocks) to Saint John - St Martins (Fundy Trail) to St Andrews (Ministers Island, Whale Watching, Marine Aquarium, or Golfing) it will take at least three to four days. I assume t you are returning to Moncton or flying out of Saint John. You can Google "Acomodations near The Rocks, Hopewell Cape". There are several nice choices. To visit the Ocean Floor which is tidal you need 2.5 to 3 hrs. You will want to stay overnite in St Martins or Saint John the second nite and in St Andrews the third. It is over 3 hr drive from there back to Moncton and 1.5 hr from from there to PEI. For only two days in Nfld go to St Johns only. The Ferry to Nfld from Sydney, NS is an overnite trip - 16 hrs plus wait time for the ferry!

Bonjour,

I can't believe a tourist attraction as big as this is closed !!! We just arrived today and is there. I other way to see the rocks without having to go Through park which is closed !!!!!!
Skrevet 9. oktober 2017
You can still go in. Just the main buildings are closed, but you are free to water and explore everywhere at your own risk. Locals go there year round.

Mi piacerebbe visitare Hopewell Rocks, sarò a Saint John il 02/10/2017 , come posso arrivare , ci sono dei bus? O devo prendere un taxi? A che ora è possibile vedere la bassa marea? E poi aspettare l'alta marea?
Grazie
