Very informative location that shows the history of both pirates, aviation (including Amelia Earhart) and lots of other things! Check this place out for sure.

If you have any interest in Aviation history and the first woman to cross the Atlantic, this is a good place to visit. I enjoyed walking the garden, enjoying the view, seeing the plane and reading the plaques. A moving experience which does not need a lot of time.

This is a hidden gem, not a large museum but very nice organized and well laid out. Staff is very knowledgeable of the area especially pat collins this man is a wealth of knowledge and knows more about the area then the history books. If you are lucky to attend when he is at the museum you are in for a treat. He has written several great books about the area and can pretty much answer any questions you have.
Well worth the few dollars to learn a little about some great Canadian history that played a very significant role in aviation

This is an informative museum, with wonderful displays. The colourful history of the area is brought to life with the pirate Peter Easton display. The Amelia Earhart display is very well done as well. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and we appreciated her informative tour. Well worth a visit.

Located on Conception Bay in the lovely community of Harbor Grace, this is a nicely done museum, a former custom house, that provides a glimpse into the past history of this area of Newfoundland. Take some time to visit. Very worthwhile! Our tour guides were college students and were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of their home.

Really helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable curator. Super local exhibits, including about Harbour Grace airfield, from which several pioneering flights, most notably Amelia Earhart's first solo female crossing of the Atlantic, were made. Visit to the airfield (5 minutes away) also worthwhile.

The Conception Bay Museum in Harbour Grace is an amazing experience. From pirates to pilots, this Museum is a real gem. Peter Easton, the Pirate and Emelia Earhart, the Pilot, are high profile inhabitants, whose story is told in great detail. The Conception Bay Museum boasts a pirates room, an aviator room, a fishing room, a world war room and a period setting room. There are guided tours through all these rooms. During the summer months the museum offers walking tours of historic Harbour Grace. If you are visiting Eastern NL, this is a must visit. It is difficult to fathom, that so much history can exist in a Town like Harbour Grace. But it does, and visitors will leave this Museum, impressed with the value of the exhibits and wishing they had more time to take in all the Museum has to offer. The Conception Bay Museum is run by a volunteer Board of Directors, that have done a phenomenal job to make this the very best Museum in NL. Be sure to visit!!
