This historic home is an interesting visit. The house is filled with fine antiques that were collected by the last owner who bequeathed the house and contents to the province. The antiques and restoration of the house are interesting to learn about from the docent. The upstairs renovation is particularly appealing. An easy trip from Annapolis Royal and on the way to Port Royal. No admission. Donations accepted.

Quaint collection of history and furnishings with great tour guides. We had two Dawns give us the tour, and they were very knowledgeable (of the house, its contents and the area) and friendly too. We spend approximately 45 minutes. It is near town of Annapolis Royal, don't miss it!

Gratuit (don volontaire ).

I am pretty sure that there was no entry fee to this museum, just a donation. We were warmly greeted and shown round by a very enthusiastic lady. This is a late 18th century farmhouse, where a prolific collector of antiques, Robert Patterson, stuffed the building with his purchases. It was quite charming.
Various activities for children and adults are held here, but we were just passing through.

If you’re interested in an exquisite collection of antiques, this is the best place to visit in an antiques rich part of the Province. From a private collection and housed in a beautifully maintained example of Nova Scotian architecture.

This was one of the most memorable museums we saw during our 9 days in NS. The woman who provides the guided tour was excellent and engaging. It was wonderful to see this house as it was used by the previous owner. The real deal with high quality furnishings and antiques - you get to see every room. Do make time for it.

Don’t be fooled by the plain exterior of this incredible gem! The inside is a treasure trove of Georgian antiques. Despite the fact that I go to many historical museums, I still learned a few new things from our very capable and friendly guide. Henceforth, I will be looking out for Chippendale, Hepplewhite, and Sheridan furniture styles as I explore other historical homes. Coincidentally, I was recently watching something on historical country houses in England when my husband noted the same convex mirror we saw in this place. Previously, I would never have given it another thought. Now, I know why they were popular among the wealthy. Check out this place for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!
