Service was very good. Very clean. Food came exactly as ordered. Good prices with discounts if you are a member. Food was great.

Well we decided a night out at the Ajax casino and try their prime rib and play some slots.
We thought wow busy Saturday night at 5:30 p.m.
Ok the lobby had maybe not more than ten people and thought wow busy.
When we entered the restaurant is on your left. There is a small bar adjacent to the restaurant. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not busy and we were able to find a table so easy.
There was a bit of wait for our waitress to come. We just asked for water with lemon for drinks. She said there is an extra cost of 50 cents for the sliver of lemon. We opted out and ordered our prime rib. One was 8 oz and the other was 10 oz
We came after the people behind us and were served before them.
Wow not the prime rib we were expecting. Neither prime ribs were 8 oz or 10 oz more like 4 oz and it looked like a small Salisbury steak from Stouffers frozen dinner for $2.49 at the grocery store on sale.
Our plate came with a scoop of mashed potatoes, sliced overcooked carrots with three overcooked green beans plus horseradish and jus.
We couldn't complain as we saw people around us with the same size dish. For a non member it is 19.99 each. Our bill came to $45 and change wow. No bun no salad. Members are $14.99 for the prime rib.
The waitress said that there is a booth outside the restaurant that you can become a member for free and use your membership for a discount at the restaurant.
However, I wasn't prepared to give my information for a one time trip.
People behind ordered a salad which was the size of a small cereal bowl. The desert across from us looked nasty. Not sure what it was but the impression of this couples face didn't look appetizing.
The casino itself is a bit crowded hard to walk around. Not spacious pretty tight and stuffy. The slots are updated but you can find some older slots too. I am not sure some people didn't look like they knew what they were doing. They seemed excited and having fun. Tons of senior citizens.
The bathrooms are clean. There is a complimentary station for coffee and a soda fountain.
There is a lady with a cart full of complimentary drinks who walks around.
We were there a few hours but left very hungry.

I have been going here since it opened. people used to win but not much anymore. service on the floor has always been poor. they used to have real mugs and glasses but no more. service has gotten worse over the years. beverage stations are usually messy. I hardly go anymore.

Decided to try Ajax Casino as it is close to home. Venue as was expected. Lots of slots nice décor for a small casino. However, there is no bar at this location. You have to wait until you happen to catch the eye of someone walking around taking drinks orders. We stopped four different people who promised to send someone over to take our order. We waited just under one hour. We did not have any great expectations of the food offered at the restaurant; however, I can only say it is mediocre at best. Did not expect that rotisserie chicken would be rubbery with a blob of bbq sauce on top.

The restaurant needs improving. The staff are wonderful however, the lobster dinner I would not get again. I have had it twice and both times I had a bad experience and I love my lobster and know fresh since I'm from the east coast. They need to organize how the seating is done. I put my name on the list to wait 45 minutes and was served my dinner and drinks at the bar area before I was even buzzed to sit down. Poor organization that way.

ive been going to ajax cosino for years now have a great time every time i go thay also have so many family events including doing fire works / family days & just plain very nice people to talk to when your there its not all about the gambling the invirment is nice too

Visited here with 6 friends and maybe I had too high hopes? This casino was horrible. It's just a big space with slot machines and thats about it. I tried to get a beer but the one server I did see was too busy doing nothing and just ignored people...too busy chatting up some guy. We stayed a half hour and got out of there.
I won't be back. What an awful casino compared to others that have everything. Save your money and time.

Many years ago I would actually get excited about going into a casino, that time has come and gone. Casino Ajax is so typical of a gambling warehouse cash grab, just machines to part you with your cash, I walked around and only saw one major cash win. I have noticed it in many major Canadian slot houses, no grand prizes, paid out very often.

With all the recent promotions on the Ajax Casino and the restaurant, my husband and I thought we would try it, which was much against my better judgement!
While waiting to be seated for dinner, which was going to be a very long wait because it was the lobster and prime rib special on the Thursday night, we decided to go to the bar to have a drink, at which time we found out that we could eat there without the long wait to be seated. We ordered our drinks and meal, but while having our drinks and waiting we noticed that there were lots of flies around the bar and dirty dishes and glasses were just piling up and so were the flies. The bar counter was not being wiped down, flies were all over the area, even on the ceiling, we pointed this out to the server and told her that we wanted to cancel our order and interestingly, she did not seem to be bothered by it. We then asked to speak to the manager, took her to the bar and showed her all the flies and the dirty glasses and dishes and she just acknowledged that she knew about it. I was so angry, that I told her that I would report this to the health authorities; but she just smiled and said ok!
What I found interesting was that the staff, including the manager on duty were all very nice and polite, so the only conclusions that I could come up with is that their hands are tied and they just want to get paid so they can pay their bills!
Are you kidding me, this is disgusting, this place is filthy, I can’t believe that the health inspectors have been visiting this restaurant and bar and giving it a pass!

A great place for casino lovers.....great food .....sometimes has fun days for the hole family...lot of parking space and close to a lot of stores like Walmart, Costco, Superstore, Home depot etc...

Yes, it is smoke free, inside.
However, people smoking tend to hang out in front of the entry areas smoking. Hold your breath entering or wear your mask to get you through the doors. Once inside, it is smoke free. Good luck.
