The place and the experience are magical.
It all starts with a ritual of a few minutes with the shaman who blesses you to enter the sacred cenote, as he takes you into the world beyond. We were accompanied by Jorge, a very friendly Guide who explained all the geological formations and told us some curiosities/myths of the place.
We swam alone for 15/20min in the middle of the cenote, which is not very deep: it was amazing!!! Floating in the middle of the cenote, seeing the “ceiling” and just hearing the drops touching the water is something unique! In my case I floated for a few minutes and took the opportunity to meditate in the water.
They made us a romantic dinner as well as beautiful delicious, with typical Mayan dishes, all handmade by them. They come served with the history of each of them.
Our waiter was Armando, friendly, friendly and very attentive.
It's worth everything it costs!

We visited some cenotes in the region, but we really fell in love with this cenote! Besides beautiful, it is a great option to stay open until later (closes only at 19:30). We arrived at the end of the day, we managed to enjoy all the beauty of the cenote on our own and we still finished with a beautiful Mayan purification ceremony. Unlike other cenotes in the center that were more commercial, we felt really relaxed and welcomed on site. I highly recommend the visit!

We were really impressed until the end when we realized that they covered the holes on the roof of the cavern to give it an artificially closed cenote feel. I would have preferred that they let the light in as this really is a semi-open Cenote with several holes on the ceiling. It would have been naturally beautiful. What a shame.

We had an incredible experience at Zazil Tunich. The Cenote is beyond beautiful, and the people are so kind and helpful. We had a private dinner and swim in the Cenote. This was THE BEST experience for us in Mexico!

The experience is spectacular, from the moment you arrive the place is in excellent condition and with a first class service, once you enter the cenote you are speechless

It was a great experience to visit this place.
It has ample parking, as well as
beautiful gardens with some Mayan cottages where various activities are carried out such as sale of crafts, sale of Mayan spirits, where the restaurant is, etc.
Before you go you have to book, as only small groups come in at specific times, allowing you to enjoy this beautiful experience widely.
Everything is tidy, clean and very nice.
The road to the cavern is also very nice and access is easy. Already inside the cavern you can appreciate impressive stalactites and stalagmites illuminated with different colored lights. At the bottom is the shallow cenote where you can swim and watch some fish. You can be there as long as you like and if you chose the package with food, leaving the cenote you go to the restaurant to taste a three-course menu that includes the most delicious Pibil chicken I have ever eaten. Drinks are paid for separately. Our waiter Armando was super friendly and always kept an eye on what we needed.
After dinner we were given the liquor tasting and finally, we witnessed a Mayan ceremony.
Our guide from start to finish was Edna.
A very nice girl with extensive knowledge of the world May who solved all our doubts.
We'll definitely be back as soon as possible.

This place is amazing, honestly, for my family and me, it was a unique experience, the place is very magical, from the moment you enter, it feels a different atmosphere, the photos I think, do not do justice. When we made the Reservation, we were asked to arrive on time, since the entrance is limited to 20 people, since the intention is to preserve the place as much as possible, and it is understandable, since everything is practically done by nature, we were practically alone, with the Guide (forgive me, I forgot your name), who explained everything to us perfectly, had a lot of knowledge of the place and the stalactites and stalagmites.
Although they use it as a cenote, they should make the idea that it is rather a cavern with very, very clear (even we think very pure by the filtration process) and shallow waters at the end.
When you arrive, as in any cenote, you are asked to take a bath to remove anything that may contaminate the water, it has its dressing rooms, bathrooms, and a lockers area so you can leave your things alone, plus bathrooms.
Once bathed and left everything you can not carry, the road to the cenote is very beautiful, it is surrounded by nature and at the entrance there is a shaman that makes you a clean (sadly it was Tuesday and that day, we were told, rest the shaman, it would have been a round experience), because according to Mayan tradition, we will enter what was known as the underworld, when we reach the entrance there is a small tunnel that separates you from reality, because when you set foot inside, you enter another world, you are given a map in which the whole route is marked, and you go explaining everything, in the end, you get to, I do not know if it is river because the cenotes are very deep, and this is not so much, as we went in rainy season, the "highest" were 2 meters, the water is cold, but tolerable, besides, as I said earlier, very, very crystal clear, they let you be some time in the water, and they told us that they do celebrations of hand orders, dinners, etc.
You have to make reservation to go, and the truth, it was very worth it, we were lucky because the day we went, literally, we were alone and we could enjoy it a lot, as well as marveling at what nature can create.
I recommend taking towel, change of clothes (dressing rooms are great) and "water" shoes
At the end it has an area with hammocks, because if you want to end the experience comfortably contemplating nature.
Thank you to all those who attended us that day, were very friendly, attentive and made our trip a unique and unmatched experience, we hope to return very soon, it is a place worth admiring

Amazing cenote in a mind-blowing cave underground. It's all on a beautiful property that used to be a hacienda. The taxi to and from our hotel was nice. There was a tour guide that explained the history of the place, then after there was a short Mayan ceremony to cleanse our energies with a legit Mayan shaman, as well as a chocolate and anise liquor tasting. It was fun! You might want to bring plastic sandals for when you go in the water because there are a bunch of tiny pebbles and rocks.

We booked the romantic dinner experience and it was absolutely fantastic. We were lucky to be the only couple in the cenote. The cenote itself is stunning and very well-maintained, the most beautiful one we visited during our Yucatan trip. Our guide was very nice and she told us a lot of interesting stuff about the cenote and the Maya culture. For the swimming part: the water is not very deep and it's recommended to bring water shoes. The dinner was delicious as well. Our main course was fish, made following a traditional Mayan cooking technique. The entire experience (excluding transport) took a little over 2 hours, of which about 20 minutes was the swimming part. It felt really special and it is absolutely one of the most magical places on earth to have dinner. The only critical point we can mention, is that we had to pay separately for the drinks.

We ate in the cenote, the food was delicious and the ambiance was great. Candles and mood lighting were placed everywhere with Mayan music in the background. Afterwards we swam for a while. If you want an evening of romance this is the place to go.

Is this appropriate for elderly people that are able to walk fine on their own put probably not ok with a ladder.

Hola ... ellos tienen una página de internet donde puedes reservar la visita , solo te atienden por la tarde , si estás en cancún o en mérida , lo mejor es rentar un coche , te recomiendo price car en el hotel kriztal de punta cancún,desgraciadamente los taxis abusan . Mi recomendación es llegar a valladolid temprano , visitar el cenote Zaci , comer e irte al zacil Tunich, y sales a las 6 de la tarde , de regreso a cancún , el costo es de $ 30 pesos el zaci , y $ 250 el zacil , la caseta cuesta
