Beautiful park, the ground of the beach was a bit muddy feeling, but there was alot of room for swimming and keep social distance. This park is very very large so walking from one end to the other is not an option. One needs a vehicle. The office is beautiful. The grounds well maintained. Friendly campers and staff. Will return!

I loved quetico. It is my favorite park in Ontario! I love the vibe here. It helps that it is not overrun with people and doesn't have a highway going through it.

Loved my hike to the French falls enjoyed spending some time there to relax .

If Quetico were in southern Ontario or really in most other areas of Canada it would be packed with people and there would be more acclaim. As it is in NW Ontario it tends to get forgotten a little bit. This works out well for the locals who get to experience it with fewer crowds. This is a great park that is on the same level as Algonquin in the south.

Overall my trip with my friends and I was excellent. It was lovely to be among nature and having a voyage that authentically followed the footsteps of native Americans and fur trappers.

So pleased to have made time for one night's stay at Quetico Provincial Park. It was so quiet and peaceful, with no noise from the highway. Instead, there were gentle waves lapping at the shore and a couple of families enjoying the stunning surroundings.

Stayed at site 14, which was very quiet at the end of a row with a few natural rock stairs down to the shore. Perfect place to watch a magnificent sunset.

The comfort station was close by for a hot shower. Would be very pleased to stay here again.

Go to see Doug at Canadian Quetico Outfitters !

I arrived in the morning in the area and assisted at a few groups of canoes departures.
By myself crossing Canada from Montréal to Vancouver, no plans, no restrictions, I got jealous and ask the people where I could go to get information to do a little canoe expedition. I went to Atikokan and they oriented me towards Canadian Quetico Outfitters.
I got there early afternoon and two hours later I was all set for a then 2.5days expedition!

I had a wonderful paddle time (even if I nearly sank in the storm in the middle of the Pickerel lake on my very birthday ! But I'm fit and Doug's equipment did the job. That was also a bit stupid navigating in these conditions...), I saw beavers, musk rats, birds and so beautiful landscapes ! Wonderful nature.
"I paddle[d] the dream ! I'm laughing !" As says Doug.

Arriving at the end of the season and looking for a place to enjoy a picnic lunch and a small hike, we found this place. The lake and picnic facilities were great. The French River Falls hike was a bit disappointing. A long over grown trail to a partly obscured view of the falls. Still, we got our exercise.

Bucket List - visit every Provincial Park in Ontario: This park is huge! Most of it is for interior canoeing and some places you need to be flown into. There is a day use area off of Hwy11 (Trans Canada), a campground and hiking trails. The lake and beach are quite nice and they have a good visitor centre. One thing that really stood out here is that it has a wheelchair accessible beach. We did not need this ourselves but were impressed with it. See pictures.
