This is a very neat area of Cleveland. There are a few blocks to walk through with various stores, Italian restaurants and bakeries. Presti‘s bakery is quite gourmet with many Italian delights, they’re not cheaply priced at all. They have plenty of seating in their café. We chose an Italian restaurants and had a nice meal outside. The only caveat here is the parking. You can park at one end and have to walk. Parking was quite full and you have to pay for it. If you park on street u have one hour limit. Jace nice Italian museum, small but neat artifacts. If u are Italian or enjoy Italian food this is a must stop for couple hours

The extensive choice of restaurants and eateries is impressive. So many are authentically family owned and operated with recipes handed down by generations.

Not huge but worth the stop if you have time. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Street Parking is limited, there is a city parking lot down by the train station that was reasonable ( you can download the parking app and pay right from your phone, found out later that app works in a lot of towns not just here). Depending on where your planning on eating you might have to call a head for reservations. Don't forget your Cannoli's !!

If you are going, expecting something the size of little italy in New York, you will be disappointed. If you are going, expecting to have good, I mean REALLY good, Italian food, cannoli, and italian pottery shopping experiences, then you are in the right place. The area is not big, but full of good restaurants and bakeries.

Expected more from this area. An old neighborhood with few Italian restaurants and bakeries. Expensive and average deserts. Gelato was pretty good.

Definitely go to the bakery in the heart of this district. The pastries & other things there are absolutely fantastic. Very worthy of its Italian heritage. I visited on a Sunday morning & the lady who fills the cannolis was very helpful & friendly.

I am Catholic and greatly enjoy visiting the beautiful historic ethnic parishes in Cleveland, Ohio. Saint Kaismir (east 82nd/Sowinski), Our Lady of Lourdes (Slavic Village), and Holly Rosary (Little Italy) just to name a few. Recently, I went to a week day mass at Holy Rosary in Cleveland’s Little Italy. There are a few historic Italian parishes left in Cleveland. Holly Redeemer (Collinwood), Our Lady of Mount Carmel (6928 Detroit Avenue west side), and Saint Roccos (Fulton Avenue West Side). I do not have any Italian heritage, but love how they keep these historic churches going.

The most "urban" and picturesque of Cleveland's surviving nationality neighborhoods. Mayfield Road climbs Murray Hill between University Circle and Cleveland Heights. Restaurants, bakeries, art galleries, and various shops entice people to park their cars and walk the neighborhood- unusual for most Cleveland neighborhoods. Every August, the Holy Rosary Church and participating businesses host the Feast of the Assumption, combining the Catholic holiday with lots of Italian festival foods, games, and entertainments. The Feast is a more suburban-friendly event than St. Rocco's Labor Day festival, which is in "grittier" surroundings. Prices tend to be higher in Little Italy. The residents are not exclusively Italian American. CWRU students and artists make up a big segment of the neighborhood community.

How far is this from Progressive Field? Any price estimates on an Uber ride from the baseball field area to Little Italy?

It's about 6 miles apart. You can also take red line RTA light rail from Tower City to Little Italy. It's $3.50 for all day pass.

There are about 9 restaurants in the Little Italy area. For good Italian sit-down dinner, we like Angelo's Nido restaurant. It is good for larger groups and or smaller and has a bar attached. If you like more American with a Italian twist you might like The Tavern of Little Italy. For a Mediterranean twist you might like Mia Bella's restaurant . Maxi's of Little Italy is noted for its Pizza. hope this will help.
