AVOID CAR PARK! Parked here when hoping to taking parents for a trip to beach. Struggled with reception to download obscure app as not normal one of course! Wouldn't register card with reception issues so after three attempts paid by machine for 2hrs. Was only in car park for 1.5hrs total and received a £100 fine saying taken more than 10 mins to pay. So many others it seems now I have checked have same issue. Appealed the £100 fine to them but denied despite proof of ticket etc. Criminal scam operators.
Plus the walk too long for parents to make it to the beach too so only sat in carpark and had lunch anyway!

The beach is fine, but the car park is to be avoided at all cost! You only have a short time to pay, and if you take few minutes longer you get a penalty charge - £100, reduced to £60 if you pay within 14 days. This is on top of the daily parking charge. It was impossible for us to pay in the time allowed!

DO NOT PARK HERE AS YOU WILL GET A FINE! Struggled downloading the app so took 20 minutes. Paid for all day £7. Then received parking ticket as said I was over the 10 minutes allowed. So appealed saying I had paid but was over the 10 minutes due to app not working properly but they rejected it. This is not ok due to being the fault with the app. I won’t be going back and will tell people not to go unless you want to be ripped off.

Avoid the car park. We arrived and none of us (4 Adults, 3 different networks) could get a strong another phone signal to complete the car parking fee. Once we returned to our self catering property we managed to complete the car parking fee of £3.00 but obviously that was not acceptable to the company who sent us the £100.00 fine. In fact we ended up paying £103.02 - so an expensive 2 hours parking! Other car parks we used on our stay had the option of card payment as well as phone pay - maybe you could look into this option for the future?

Returning after some years the sandy beach has gone! In the distance a high sand bank presumably has caused the whole area to become marshland. The sandy beach to the right in the distance is the edge of Thornham beach and a good long trek
If you want sand go to Old Hunstanton!

Lovely unspoiled and often empty beach, ideal for walking.
However, the car park is now run by a rather unscrupulous private parking company who will take action if payment is not made within 10 minutes regardless of parking time purchased and contributing issues such as a queue for the single machine. Take coins as debit card payments not reliable.
A shame as we have been frequent visitors the beach for many years.

A warning to AVOID THE CAR PARK. Recently changed to being managed by an unscrupulous private parking company. Despite purchasing a ticket I received a £100 fine which was upheld despite having evidence of valid ticket. I know others who've had a similar experience. AVOID the car park at all costs!

After visiting Hunstanton for part of the day we called here on our way back down to Sheringham. A very pleasant walk along the footpath close to the beach & dunes. Do note the footpath crosses the course/runs parallel at one point but there are warning signs making walkers aware.

Great scenery, a beach that goes out for a fair way. Clean and sandy, it is an excellent beach to go to take a swim or have a walk.

The Beach is excellent and clean. Lovely sandy beach and dog friendly. We managed to park for free as there are some spaces not in the main car park, The walk to the beach is not far but it goes through a golf course, so be careful of oncoming tee-offs!

Is it preferable to sit down conventionally on this beach or is it acceptable to face an unusual direction when sitting i.e. away from the sea. Asking for a friend.

Hi, how long is the walk from the car park to the beach?
Also, is the car park suitable for a 6.8m motor-home?

Hi, there is a car park but iand I think it's fine for a motor home but there are spaces outside of the car park opposite which is where we normally park. The walk from car park is about 1000 yds or so,on hard sand. Hope this helps,
