Morning Walk

Easy to find car park, nice pleasant walk round the lakes in the October sun. Paths around most areas to walk on. Fishing pegs. Birds to see. Easily walkable from Andover town centre.

A great walk to see all the insect life and wild flowers , the swans were beautiful, we also watched the swallows skimming the lake , only down fall is hearing the traffic on the A303

Love walking through Watermills park from the river near town to then walk round Rooksbury. Lovely to see the lake life and to see others enjoying walking their dogs too. Benches to sit on an Take in the view of whatever wildlife Is present at the time.

Country in the town
apr. 2019 • Alene
Andover is fortunate to have so many green lungs in its centre. This is the best for wildlife. An easy walk from the town & if one wishes an easy walk on to Upper Clatford with a good village pub before returning. Used by joggers & dog-walkers but pleasant also to wander lonely as a cloud without being disturbed.

新搬家到這里 ,無意中行到這里,感覺得到這個地方非常清靜,不過地方很小,是一個很地區性的小公園,這里有個小湖。

Despite being very close to the A303, this spot is very peaceful and is a lovely place for an afternoon stroll. plenty of wildlife to see on the lakes, and it's only a short walk from the centre of Andover

Dog walk
mai 2018
Lovely streams and lots of wildlife, a little hidden gem that we will defiantly return to. It’s a great set up but some of the dogs weren’t the nicest which was a shame. We did see a dog poo on the dog socialisation area/designates field which was a shame as there are plenty of bins around the whole area so no excuse really. On the plus side this is a lovely area and designed beautifully.

I went with my 2 year old and met a friend with her toddler for a walk. There were a number of middle aged men with their tops off or shirts open (one sunbathing and drinking beer at 10.30am) and incredibly skimpy shorts. It just was not a nice vibe there which was a pity because the surroundings are beautiful. If avoid it if you are a single woman or have kids with you.

A blast from the past
des. 2016 • Alene
I used to poach trout from Rooksbury Mill in the early 1980’s when I was young and it was a private fishery. Later I became a member of the Rooksbury Club and fished legally. The area in now owned by Test Valley CC and is accessible for all. I believe it is now a course fishery but it is very nostalgic for me. I am pleased that so many members of the public can now visit this lovely place that was once closed only to the rich.
