As with the others on here we got a parking ticket as we tried to pay online as we left and it said no charge and then we got a ticket. Apparently you have to actually leave the carpark before the system registers! What a joke. Won't be coming back.

Had a lovely day cycling, lovely meal in the restaurant, great coffee, kids had an amazing time, made very happy memories. Paid for parking on departure, got a receipt, and lo and behold, my PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE HAS ARRIVED!!! FURIOUS is not the word!!!! I've done everything correctly, have photo evidence of payment so why has my beautiful day out been ruined by having this stress??????? Now got to appeal, worry about the outcome....it goes on!

The parking issues have overshadowed the experience.
We thought we had paid for parking. Like many other reviewers on here, we got done by this awful parking provider and the management at Betteshanger allow it.
I contacted the management at Betteshanger as a last ditch attempt to find a solution to this awful situation. They was at first very reluctant to get involved. Could be due to the park making a % of tickets and fines probably, which could be why they don’t deal with their parking contractor as clearly by the many reviews on here, there is a serious issue.
Someone from the park I won’t name out of respect. Contacted the parking provider. They parking provider reply with nothing other then they replied to me and they don’t use POPLA as an independent appeal process and it was too late for me to appeal.
My issue is, I’m almost sure we paid like so many others. It seems the issue is there end. But regardless, I would have liked to taken this to an independent appeal process, which should be given to everyone who’s essentially appeal is rejected. I didn’t get this chance. When appealing I had to chase for answers. They mentioned to the representative at Betteshanger that they had sent me 12 email replies during my appeal. But these was standard replies following my emails. Anything serious I asked them about the fine or appeal they ignored.
The representative took their awful reply without any context or proof as gospel.
I’ve replied to the park asking for an investigation into my appeal takes place by them as they are the contract provider and the client, as I’ve said above me and so many others can’t be wrong.
Unfortunately the park have not replied and like their parking provider they have ignored my request and email pleading for them to investigate this matter.
It’s crazy to think. Simply going to a park with your family for fun, your left with two choices. 1. Either pay the fine .
2. I’ve been threatened by their debt agency I’ll receive a CCJ and can fight my case if I file £225 to appeal the CCJ.
I would avoid this place at all cost. Just look at all the poor review. We all can’t be wrong.

Beautiful site and something for everyone. Lovely cafe and clean facilities.
I took my SEN students out for the day and it was a massive success. We started at Boonies and completed the assault course. Which challenged everyone physically and mentally, especially when working as a team to carry heavy items over the course.
Then we hired some bikes and spent the afternoon going around the tracks. With lots of different levels of fitness, everyone enjoyed themselves and we had a great day out.

Took a group of year 10 boys to Betteshanger today as part of their GCSE in public services. They initially took part in the range of activities offered by Boonies. This was excellently facilitated by the person there. By the end of their morning they had learnt some valuable life skills in communication and team work. And how to do a proper pressup!
We then were provided with mountain bikes. The staff there were so patient and accommodating in meeting the boys specific and sometimes unique bike set up requirements.
All returned in one piece having experienced all of what the bike trails had to offer.
The coffee from The Lamp Room was lush.

Like many I had issues with parking. I thought I had paid. All seemed to have gone through. But weeks later I received a fine. I appealed it as I thought I had paid. Then thought I had maybe put in my previous car registration. But then couldn’t find the payment on my banking statement. Like many on here I got done by there website/link.
I appealed this but the parking fine provider ignored my appeal and didn’t come back to me and next thing I know. It’s gone to a debt agency and then onto a solicitor who’s threatening CCJs. Bailiffs coming to my home etc. I’m in shock as I’m of the understanding this was still in the appeals stage.
I contact the fine provider and chase the answers. They finally come back to me with my appeal. But say they are past the stage of appeal and it’s with the debt agency. More like they sold the debt on. Not chance to appeal to POPLA which they should have given me.
I contacted the park and raised how there contractor has treated me unfairly and unlawfully. But they couldn’t help.

This was my first visit here and what a great time we had . The Mining Museum was excellent and the two members of staff were a credit to the Museum. . They were full of knowledge of their time down the mines .
The restaurant was also excellent , very clean and very attentive staff . Food was delicious and reasonably priced .
Parking was very simple and a good price .
The only complaint we would have is no bins on the way round when walking .
We will definitely return soon

Pretty poor show for the money.
Tried several times to pay for parking. The link didn’t work. Received a parking charge for £50 three days after the discounted charge to £25 had expired. Parking charge sent 14th December. Received 31st. Happy New Year.
The Snowman at £15 each comprised a simple viewing of the old film whilst sitting in a freezing tent. We were advised to arrive 30 minutes beforehand - so we could queue in the mud outside the tent.

The parking here is a joke. I think it’s one of those places that make all their money from parking tickets. The website kept crashing. And then said I didn’t need to pay anything. Then weeks later a parking ticket turns up. Also the kids playground was really dirty with lots of rubbish on it.

This place is still horrible. I am now being bullied to pay for something I don’t owe through the courts.

I paid my parking within the 48 hours and am now being harassed by a solicitor. Did you pay the scam or did you go to court? Or something else. When I went CAB they told me to pay it to prevent bailiffs calling around and further harassment, even though I was innocent of the charges. In the past have our mps been involved with this. Has it been on the tv programme’rogue traders’ yet?
These are crooks we are dealing with and in no way ethical.

I would phone them as they have been building a large visitor centre. There are walks around the area with trails and ponds as well as the cycling and I know there are periodic specialist activities too.

Kite Festival Parking RIP OFF. How many others paid for their parking on that day, no receipt issued after paying for parking then paid an additional £50 fine.....fuming.

Did you appeal your fine? If you feel you have been wrongly fined you should contact the appeals address at parkwithease. Regardless of whether a receipt is printed, they are able to see which car registrations have been keyed into the machines.

I was looking to see how many others have been ripped off by the car parking scam.
Using car parking penalty notices as a major source of income is a TERRIBLE way of running a business.

I actually paid the Easy Park parking "fine" of £30 and then immediately discovered that their letter was over 14 working days after the "offence" and therefore cannot be legally issued. I contacted Easy Park asking for a refund but no reply. Betteshanger Park are responsible for hiring Easy Park so I shall ask them for a refund as it is ultimately their responsibility. The car park is not even legally sign posted as no dtails at the entrance but they claim as soon as you enter the park you have entered a contract re parking. Plus little signage in car parks. It would never stand up in a small claims court and thats probably where we will end up. It's a sham.
