They make you feel like a celebrity for the day. Not only do they build confidence in your cooking skills but they send you home with expensive cuts of meat /fruit /herbs, every thing needed to complete your meal to the Northcote standard. They also do the washing up and preparing of ingredients so you can concentrate on the cooking. The tutors are friendly knowledgeable and very helpful. You also get a breakfast lunch with wine and afternoon treats. Worth every penny!!

I recently attended the first of a series of cookery courses - ‘A Taste of Sicily’. The course was presented by Head Tutor, Rick, who guided us through the creation of a series of recipes - sauces, aioli, ricotta cheese, pasta making - all of which formed the basis for some dishes that we either completed on site or would cook later at home having been provided with all the necessary ingredients. The course was very well designed and allowed students to make full use of the time available. It was incredible how much we achieved during the course of the day. A special mention must go to Rick’s assistant who was working diligently in the background making sure that we had everything we needed for the next stage of cooking.
I felt that the course represented good value for money when you considered that we were given a light breakfast on arrival, a two course lunch in the restaurant with a glass of wine, refreshments during the course of the day plus a few extras.
The course was a special treat, very well organised, great fun and inspiring. I came away with all the food that I had prepared during the day together with more ingredients to cook at home. Thanks to Rick and the cookery school team for a super day.

Treated myself to an experience at the cooking school. I am still on such a high from the day. I learnt so many new cooking skills, the food turned out even better then I imagined it would have. Both chefs Richard and Ben shared so many incredible cooking tips and the teach style was very much appreciated. I will be booking more classes for defo!

On Thursday 25 July 2024, I attended a family birthday celebration at Northcote Manor and participated in a French Pastry Cookery Course.
The course was led by Richard Ogden, Head Tutor and Ben Hinchliffe, Tutor who were exceptional. The course was both informative, educational and great fun!
Rick and Ben had great chemistry. You were taken step by step through various recipes including: Valrhona Chocolate Ganache Tart; Madeline's; and choux delights.
They obviously spent a lot of time planning and setting up the session, with all of the ingredients weighed out and utensils, pans etc. at hand. You were also able to take the items home that you had made.
Thanks Rick and Ben - my time at Northcote Manor on Wednesday and the Cookery School on Thursday was amazing. Thanks so much!!

Rick was an amazing teacher, super friendly and approachable. He had great knowledge and banter which made the experience all the more better! Also a shout out to Ben - a great team!

I went on the Diploma course, 5 days of learning and experiencing the work of a Michelin star kitchen and cooking. It was wonderful! Rick and Ben are excellent teachers and communicators, very supportive, extremely knowledgeable and fantastic chefs in their own right. We all learnt so much and came home with masses of food, recipes, goodies and lots of good intentions to cook well (and impressively..) at home. I've already made three of the large number of dishes that we cooked and were taught about. If you are interested in food this is the place to go.

Well, what a fantastic experience. The week was out of this world. I learnt so much that will stay with me forever. From Tuesday to Saturday it was full on and totally wonderful. Thanks to Rick, Ben and not to forget Beth for everything that you’ve given to me and how my family will benefit totally from my experience over the week. Honestly this is one of the best experiences of my life. If you get the chance, DO IT! From the moment you are greeted in the snug, to the tour of the kitchen, you are made to feel so welcome & special. Rick & particularly Beth who didn’t seem to stop all day, were superb. We did the dinner party course, was a gift for Xmas & it was brilliant, learnt so much. Can’t wait to do the next one…. Hurry up Santa! Thank you to all involved.

Sorry for the late response. I did one of the days run by Nigel so I think it was £350 - it might seem expensive but was amazing day. Some of the other days I think are less expensive.
There website is a good source for all the details.
