What a wonderful afternoon we had last week! Lambs, goats, alpacas, geese, dressing up, play, fun informative, relaxed... Great for adults as well as children. Thank you

Lovely quirky campsite. Amazing views and quiet. Sheep in the next field and lovely little moor hens wandering around. Very clean toilets. Catherine the owner was welcoming , friendly and informative and checked that everyone was OK. Direct access to river walks from the campsite. We walked into Reeth and Gunnerside - wonderful!

Gorgeous dog friendly place to stay with Friendly owner called Cath. Lovely people on the site that we got chattimg too. Not been camping for about 16yr and chose here for our first Bank Holiday weekend and we chose well. Small site but that makes it even better, Clean loos, 10 min walk across fields to the Punch Bowl pub, lovely Alpacas in the fields which you can feed also sheep, lovely walk along the river to let the dog have a dip. Looking forward to going again next year.

We visited Hazel Brow to take their alpacas for a trek and had a really fabulous morning with Cath, the owner and Larch, Appollo and Aramis (the alpacas). Cath was really informative and shared all sorts of interesting facts about the alpacas, the area and the farm. We went for a c. 90 minute circular trek after catching and feeding the alpacas. I would definitely recommend this activity - the alpacas were such gentle and friendly creatures and we will cherish the experience for years to come!

Really enjoyed our night at the farm shame bout the rain but still fun to be had , next morning our car broke down ( battery gone dead ) onwer went out of her way to help us both , even took us back to her own house for a cuppa until we had something sorted very friendly and helpful ... We both will be back with friends and family thank u very much ...Emma and Ben xx

We didn't set off to find hazel brow,but we're so glad we stumbled upon this place-secluded with proper stone surrounded campfires no electric lights so you can see all the stars,we were next to the lambs who had just been born we helped the farmers wife feed them,which the kids loved,there's toilets which are spotless,it's all enclosed so you can take your dog-we did,she loved it just obviously take some doggy poo bags :)
We drove to the shop for supplies for a BBQ what was about 15 mins away if that in reeth or you've got Richmond town next door with a chippy etc
If that's too far there's a pub within walkin distance called the punch bowl inn.
If you want to get away from it all but still want luxury of toilets go here! Lovely place.

After almost a 2 hour drive we gets to hazel brow to find a big almost empty field with one camper, no activities etc, the whole barn closed.
Not one mention about it on their website i mean how hard can it be to update your website!?
Other than that the field to camp on was full of sheep poo my tent is manky and stinks now.
So basically i paid £23 for one night on a field (including fire logs)
We left the saturday morning and i got talking to a guy in richmond who said there is loads of fields along the road where its free!!!
Also there was a couple camping with their dogs which constantly barked, waking us up all through the night!
Felt like a wasted journey, and not sure how they can charge that amount with no kids activities.
Honestly im not a real life victor meldrew but there was nothing to enjoy about this place.
Lots of others with activities for the same price!
Sorry to leave a poor review as the lady owner was lovely but that website needs to be updated it is false advertising.

So sorry you didn't enjoy your visit. We have had major problems since 2015 and the Visitor Centre has been closed. We are opened for camping last summer (2016) and are keen to know what our guests think of the venue. Your comments will be taken on board and we may not use the big field for camping this year.
You wouldn't believe the problems we've had with websites and google ads but all should be sorted for this season, with us fully in control of all the websites from next month.

Great place to visit for a true camping experience Farmers Wife (Sorry i forgot your name) was very welcoming and helpful as she helped build our fire pit. We were left to feel free and roam about the beautiful scenic place. The River Swale is just a walk away and a by pub is just within walking distance up the road. Animals around us creates that perfect country ambience! Toasted marshmallows around the camp fire and didnt feel rushed to leave What more can you ask for really? x Thank you for letting us stay We will be back x Would love to have seen The Visitor Centre in action :-) for a hands on experience too :-)

I checked the website and it all looked great and so we decided to make the winding trip over into Swaledale from home near Darlington. When we found the place it was deserted and there was no sign of life...big disappointment for our 3 kids. I wish the website had been updated to say they had closed.
