Lovely space of crochet heaven and inspiration! Loved being able to see the shawn Alpacas too! Only an hour away from us. Now hoping to come on a course sometime

Unnecessary Rudeness

Toft seriously need to invest in some signs, there is no distinction between what is private property and what is allowed to be accessed by the public. I have been before several times and the staff in the shop pointed out where to walk to see the alpacas. However this time I went with my friend and her two small children, we couldn’t get the pram across a puddle so walked to the edge of a field to see the animals and a lady came out of the building and was really rude when telling us we were on private property, plus the “correct” way she told us to do the walk wasn’t even the way I’d been previously told by the staff. The way that you are supposed to go on the walk doesn’t allow car access, but isn’t signposted from the customer car park. The customer car park has one path that goes to the shop and one that goes to the fields, but apparently that is also private property according to the rude lady. I just think that if you are going to be unpleasant (to excitable children that love animals and apologetic ladies that have walked the wrong way) when people accidentally come onto your private property, then you should either have nothing open to the public or you should have it very clearly signposted to avoid such confusion.

Yarns heaven

Arrived just after opening time and were very warmly greeted by the staff working outdoors in the beautiful surroundings. This is a must visit place for anyone who loves playing with beautiful yarn, we were offered drinks on arrival and shown the displays then left to browse at leisure. Laura was most helpful and my pattern had arrived home on my email before I did. Thank you, I will find an excuse to return for more yarn. Didn’t have time to visit the alpacas, next time!!

Great place and Alpacas

Toft Studio was everything I hoped it would be. My Friend and I purchased a Beginners session in December to learn how to crochet one of the lovely animals designed by Kerry Lord who started Toft Studios. We had a look around the shop and then with a maximum of 10 "students" we were taught how to crochet, increase, decrease and make the animals. Emma our instructor was very patient, practical and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our visit, staff couldn’t have been more friendly, accommodating or informative. We both thought you could have been making so much more of what you have, car park signage, leaflets in other local places, and a few more reasonable gifts so that everyone could afford to buy something. Good luck in all you do in the future

Sewing up Workshop

This was my first visit to Toft HQ and I really loved it the staff were very friendly and helpful. The selection of wool and seeing finished products in the flesh was so helpful. The advice I had from Lauren and Tash was excellent. I’m very pleased with my completed Emma the bunny and I have only been crocheting for 2 weeks.

Great workshop and cute alpacas!

This was my second visit to Toft. We received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the staff, along with a great workshop led by Emily.
The farm itself makes for a beautiful walk. There are signs throughout for you to learn more about the cute herd of alpacas - we even got to get up close with some of the cria!
We can't wait to return :)

Foxes Beware!

After staying overnight in Rugby, we dropped in to see the alpacas in Tofts lane, Dunchurch before returning home.

I enjoy knitting and alpacas, so here was an opportunity to good to miss. We parked the car and entered the shop where we were welcomed by one of the staff who offered us a cup of coffee while we looked around.

Amazing wools and kits for making toys! Of course it was somewhat expensive, but then you expect such 'valuable fleece' not to be cheap.

I had a great time looking around and ended up buying 2 patterns and 2 lots of wool.
Then, my husband and I went to look at the baby alpacas (cria) with their mothers and some of the other herd.
While walking down the lane I spotted a huge fox cross the path, although there was no danger to the herd as alpacas can 'see off' predators, especially the fox!

Wonderful visit - sure children would be delighted!

Lovely place to visit

We went here for an afternoon with our 4 grandchildren aged from 12 to 21 and our puppy and they really enjoyed it. We were given a map which took us around the fields where the Alpacas were and were lucky enough to see mums and babys. We were then invited back for complimentary tea and cake which we were very surprised about as there was no entry fee, whether it's different in high season I don't know. There is a very nice tea/coffee and snack shop, also picnic tables and benches outside in a lovely setting. If your into a bit of crochet work you can purchase some lovely kits to make some very interesting animals, hats and scarves, but they are a bit expensive! A great place to visit!

Great walk

Took our grandchildren here (10 & 8) and they had the best time. We were lucky to visiti when the alpaca's had babies. If you stay still and quiet they get curious and will walk towards to. It can be a little muddy even if its been dry so be careful. The shop has some lovelt this to buy too. Allow a few hours if you want to see it all.
