Bring your dog(s) to the dog park where they can run free off leash. The path is paved all the way down with slight hills. Definitely worth going to. Fantastic views.

Stopped here shortly after crossing into Oregon on our 101 road trip and it’s the perfect welcome to the Oregon coast. You can park for free at the parking lot near the water treatment plant and head down to paved trail to the rock peninsula. The views all the way out are unparalleled. Sit and watch the waves crash into the massive rock formations or walk all the way out to the giant rock thing and hop around and explore the different viewpoints. Once out there, a sign says something about the trail not being maintained and it being dangerous to continue but it is pretty safe and comfortable and mostly paved. You can climb out far on the descending rocks as far as you want and most of the time it’s just a few feet down to the next group of rocks so even if you did fall you’re not going to tumble into the sea most likely. Having been in California for a few days before arriving here on found this to a welcome change going from the redwood coast to the beautiful famous rock formations that Oregon is known for and this place is the perfect showcase of the rugged Oregon coast. It’s right in the heart of Brookings too. My girlfriend quickly pulled out her phone as we entered the city limits and we were there parked within 5 minutes having never even heard of the place. Would definitely recommend for anyone traveling through the area.

This is a paved walk with some steep hills up and down. So worth the view if you can navigate this. Our daughter used her hiking poles. There is a great bench for contemplation but we kindly did not interrupt the occupiers for our turn. You can also walk down to the beach on a gravel path but need to cross some big logs.

Close to town... 2 minutes away... you park at the waste water treatment plant... our first impression was Oh Sh*t but... if you brave the stinky smells, when you follow the short trail out to the point, you are rewarded with gorgeous views and pristine beaches. Hidden treasure for sure!

The walk from the parking lot to the point, is well worth the long walk, even when you have to walk by the sewage treatment plant (OMG). When you finally reach the point, there are forever views. I imagine that when the whales are heading south, or north, this must be a tremendous vantage point. This is a great place to watch the sunset. The scene of the sun setting, and couples in amorous embrace, in love with the scenery, and each other, is beautiful and moving. Being in love is the greatest gift.

Free car parking near by waste treatment facility, a nice hiking over a mountain rocket a fantastic Overview to the ocean,you can climb to summit of the rock with an easy hiking though it's a little bit uphill distance, worth the visit, there is some of picnic tables.

Although kind of an odd location next to the sewage treatment facility, the trails offer some nice photo ops and vista points.

Chetco is one of the must do stops along the Oregon Beach Highway. Beautiful surf against the rocks.

You have to go behind the water treatment plant to find this place. But, it is lovely. We were only here for an hour or so, but I would have been happy on a bench all day. There are some ups and downs to the path. Plenty of dogs all sizes visiting and some people fishing! Lovely views

There's a somewhat long path to very pretty rocky beaches, and we watched seals; or sea lions cavorting in the shallows. There was an Osprey that flew past us at about 25 feet above our heads. You could almost count the wing feathers.
