Beautiful property. Was there for the Polish Festival. Great vendors and food. Was extremely hot and the wait was very long for food.

This time we visited the Doylestown shrine on a second day of the first weekend of the annual festival. The shrine complex was all joyful, vibrant, interesting and full of activities. The holy mass was remarkable and besides the organ featured the Highlanders band.
The food was very good but the lines unreasonably long especially indoors. One could partake in many Polish and Middle European dishes. Great store with delicious bakes goods.
Czestochowa features also a museum and religious store which are permanent parts of the monastery complex. During the festival there were many temporary stands with souvenirs, wine, books, amber jewelry.
We always try also to visit the beautiful cemetery.
Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine is a great destination at any time but especially during special events.

My name is Frantz Lamare! I have been visiting The Shrine of Lady of Czestochowa for over thirty years, few times each year and can say to the world that the church is fascinating! I can equally say the priests and staffs are wonderful and courteous as well. I met many over these years, everyone of them left me a positive feeling. There is one particular staff member that i will like to say few words for and her name is Elizabeth Inianor, she deserve an special honer from the church. She is a valuable lady, perhaps I should say, She is the church! You don't have to be catholic to visit the church; you should go and see with your own eyes.

What an incredible shrine!!!!!!!! The devoutness of everyone up there is overwhelming! The Pauline Fathers are outstanding, both in their demeanor, humility, Christ-like kindness in confession and inspiring homilies. The highlight of my life is attending Mass at this holy place. The Rosary Garden is spectacular, outdoor Stations of the Cross powerful, St Ann's Chapel peaceful and uplifting, relics surrounding the gated part of the downstairs chapel awe-inspiring and availability of confession multiple times daily a true blessing. The only thing that can top it all would be to be buried in the beautiful cemetery and have the privilege of the Fathers praying for you forever!

Very nice shrine but the grounds and property need some TLC. The Shrubs were all overgrown to the point where you could not walk up the stairs and hold the banister because they were overtaking the banister.
Lots of pieces of concrete were missing from the stairs and walkways. Little things that just make it look like it’s getting run down. The most annoying with a broken lamp was placed across the Ronald Reagan statue. Really there was nowhere else to put it? A garage or somewhere? It had to be laid straight across the bottom of the statue?

As someone of Polish heritage, I'd only heard stories about pilgrimages that my family had taken to Doylestown, so I was excited to see this shrine for the first time. I have to admit I was a little disappointed.

Although it was constructed only a few short years before the very worst of modernist church architecture, and retains some elements of traditional Catholic design features, it is still a striking example of how cold, inhuman and alienating modern architecture can be. I felt as if I were in some sort of cavernous Soviet assembly hall, with some Catholic details thrown in here and there in the vast emptiness. The stained glass windows, which I'm sure were viewed as very bold in their time, struck me as incredibly strange and off-putting. The music was bizarre and the meek priest so soft spoken and anodyne in his message that it made me wonder why he even bothered speaking.

That's not to say there isn't beauty here. There are things to see and the grounds are nice. It's just that instead of feeling a part of eternity, as you should feel in a Catholic Church, you instead feel like you're stuck in a never-ending 1965.

This is a forever fascinating unique shrine complex, friendly, inviting - with long standing tradition of hospitality and many events through the year. The church is dedicated to Black Madonna - Our Lady of Czestochowa and it is surrounded by the adjacent festival grounds and cemetery. The church is known for its modern beautiful altar and the stunning stain-glass windows depicting the history of Poland and United States. There is also a chapel, cafeteria, souvenir store, exhibit halls, museum and many other notable nooks to explore.
Coronavirus disturbed the usual schedule of events, religious pilgrimages, exhibits and the yearly September attraction of the Polish Festival but this special place is always worth visiting and attractive both to ordinary tourists and pilgrims on a spiritual journey.

A Very Beautiful Shrine honoring Our Lady of Czestochowa! The Blessed Virgin Mary! I visit this Shrine almost every 2nd Sunday of each month for the celebration of the Solemn Traditional Latin Mass! It's a most blessed experience!

A college classmate visited us in July and we visited the wonderful Shrine dedicated to The Blessed Mother. The architecture is spectacular as is the artwork throughout the Shrine. It has been visited by dignitaries from all over the world including one Cardinal who later became Pope (John Paul II).

The Shrine is totally beautiful with Mass in both Polish and English at various times. Buses bring in loads of tourists, there is a radio show, there is a pilgrimage, and they have the largest Polish Festival in the area annually. There is also a retreat house that is very comfortable and welcoming with terrific staff. The festival is home to Polish foods, beers, crafts, and entertainment, and it also features carnival rides for the children. This place has many events throughout the year, and it truly worth the visit.
