A beautiful walk through woodland alongside the rushing river. It had rained hard in the days before our visit, so it was flowing too fast to get too close. Great dog walking spot and lots of trees and paths to climb for the children. The paths are clearly marked and perfectly passable in wellies or walking boots. We didn't have time to stop at Inkies, so we will definitely be back.

Ignore the grumpy locals reviews, this is a simply stunning place with beautiful falls and woody walks. plus the best cafe around (Inkie's Smokehouse & BBQ). Take your walking boots, can be wet and muddy. Ignore the grumpy locals reviews about it being far too busy and noisy, you should be proud to share this beautiful place with visitors from all over the country and world! It is a beautiful place with crystal clear waters and the kids and dogs love it!

We decided to vsit these 'falls' as it had been raining heavily. I can only say that it was completely underwhelming. A number of other visitors shared this opinion too, especially at the 'viewpoint' which bewildered us all. A very standard, tumbling river flowing over some small boulders.
It's a nice enough woodland walk ,but rather poorly signposted to the so- called falls, maybe for good reason.
Not worth getting muddy for.

We don't live far away and visit regularly so normally 4 or 5 stars but far too many people this time to make it an enjoyable experience and so noisy aswell, no chance of seeing any wildlife or birds.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The cafe in the car park I believe is open from Wednesday onwards so take supplies if you plan on staying a while like us on a Monday.
The easily accessible firm gravel track from the car park was great but do be aware they are doing some major works that have closed part of this track diverting you on to a more rugged, muddy trail. It wasn’t too muddy when we visited but I guess it will get worse in the coming months
Once at the falls though it’s amazing. Nature at its finest

Pleasant , but not worth a long trip. We walked from Siblyback Lake to the falls, walk there and back was by far the better experience. Well worn site, demolition of overhead pipeline underway along the walk to the "falls".

Having grown up in st cleer golitha was a second home to me, having made a visit recently I was more than upset on how woodland trust have managed to destroy a lot of natural beauty of the valley by dynamiting areas to make it more accessible for tourists , constructing paths that lead to nowhere and all in the name of tourism. What has been. Achieved in my mind is total failure of a project designed to protect, and the decision of local authorities to grant a trading licence for a cafe which makes things a whole lot worse.

I love waterfalls and this sounded lovely... river and woodland walk to a waterfall.
Free parking at the eating place and public toilets which are not very nice.
Paths are not great so lots of puddles on the main track and the one along the river is a mud path with rocks and tree roots, so you need sensible footwear.
The river and woodland walk was lovely, through old interesting woodland. However, it wasn't what I would call a waterfall at the end, it's a series of small cascades. Pretty but rather disappointing.

We was expecting to see a big waterfall but turns out it was a little river. The scenery was beautiful amongst the trees but it was advertised as lots of waterfalls and there wasn't many. Also it was so hilly, rocky and difficult to climb. Make sure your wearing hiking boots and you definitely need to bring some water as you will work up a sweat. It's a cute walk with your partner but when we went there was lots of children and dogs so it won't be very peaceful.

Would I be able to get a buggy through? It's a 3 wheeler all terrain one but need to know how tricky it is. Thanks

Certainly not in the current climate!! It’s very muddy. You would get to some of the falls but not all around it. Best place nearby for a walk with a buggy is Siblyback Lake. Beautiful walk round the lake with footpaths all around and a lovely cafe. Great play area as well but you have to pay for parking.

Hi what footwear can you get away with in summer. Don’t really want to pack walking boots, would converse trainers/ daps be fine? Is there a path etc thank you

St Cleer, UK91 bidrag
We’ve been a couple of times and always end off the path (I say path but it’s a natural one through the woods) but I was wearing walking sandals and they did fine. If it’s been raining, you would probably want walking boots but trainers are fine. If you’ve got kids and dogs that like to climb rocks like ours, you might get a bit muddy so don’t wear your best!

About 10 minutes of leisurely strolling alongside the river.

Is the path suitable for a pushchair?

Cornwall, UK96 bidrag
Yes it is as long as you stick to gravel path. Like any woodland path, it has its more "difficult" areas but on the whole it is a flat, super easy, short stroll.

Is there places for a picnic?
AlexChelleJessEmmy

Probably not really no. There is a place to eat, like a lodge selling food and drink and they’ve tables outside but not really suitable for a picnic.
