Excellent selection! Wonderful owner! The owner is very knowledgeable about the products she sells and is willing to share her info. The produce is the best around!

Bought beautiful local peaches and unusual varieties of small potatoes. They have a wide variety of veg as well as preserves and honey (a tad expensive).

Almost right across from the famous Walkers Stand, one wonders if another farm can compete, but in the summer, this is my go-to place for fresh veggies and sweet corn! The service is fantastic, because it is family-run. They have a great assortment of not only their own produce but also flowers, artisan breads, homemade pies and fruit breads, and even a refrigerated case for dairy products. In the fall, we have taken the grandchildren to apple pick at the farm, and it is amazing, with a wide variety of apples to choose from, not that the kids discriminate in any way! While Walkers Stand is the most recognized in these parts, I am certain that Young Family Farm is every bit as good or better, and they are my first choice in local stands. They are also very community-involved and offer seasonal activities at the farm. I see an even brighter future ahead for the Youngs!

One of the local landmarks, Youngs Family Farm is a real treasure with plenty of locally-grown flowers, plants and produce. Very friendly and knowledgable staff.

This farm stand and bit of a shop is a local treasure. There are great seasonal vegetables, potted and cut flowers grown on the 400 acres, as well as a selection of pastries, locally produced foods, private labeled food stuffs and a friendly staff. The owners also donate a lot of food to the local schools as part of an 'Eat Local' program in the Rhode Island schools. It is a place you can feel good about supporting and a tee shirt or hat will show where you have been!

We found this spot on the map by doing the RI Farm Scavenger Hunt. Unlike many other locations on that hunt, this was easy to spot from the road (the white sign and flag make it hard to miss) and there was ample space to park. When you enter you are greeted by a spanning wooden shelf that wraps around the edge of the building (draped beneath large white tarps to shield from the sun) covered in oranges, lemons, limes and other fruit. I appreciated how neatly organized this way, some places you go to appear in disrepair and are sloppy, but not here.
There are fridges outdoors that have teas, milk, and other assorted juices if you desire (which is nice on hot days traveling in the car). On the inside are home made pizza's, pies and jams that all bear the Young Family name and symbol. On the right side of the building are a variety of floral arrangements of varying sizes and kinds if you are interested in purchasing something to spruce up the house. If you are interested in souvenirs there are shirts and hoodies that have the farm brand on the chest and back as well.
Being across the street from Walker's, I wasn't sure how well they'd do with business, but they have a different kind of variety that actually makes them complimentary. It's really nice to park either here or at Walkers and go to one, then cross the street and go to the other. Make sure you take time to make a stop.
