Long Reef Point is a geologically significant rock platform that juts out into the ocean about halfway between Manly and Palm Beach. There is a lookout on the adjacent coastal cliffs that affords great views of the Northern Beaches in both directions. For the more adventurous I would suggest timing your visit to coincide with low tide. More great views and lots of pristine rock pools to check out as you wind your way across the platform. At the point there is a real 'wild oceanic' ambience you don't get from the LO. On the couple of times I have visited there have been many more terns here than the otherwise ubiquitous seagulls, which also makes a nice change.

An interesting stretch of rocky reef that gets pounded when the tide is up. Fun to poke around the rock-pools Picturesque with rolling hills of golf course nearby.

I didn’t know what to expect and when I reached the point I was pleasantly surprised.
First of all the walking path is very easy even accessible for people in wheelchairs .
All the time on right side is ocean and on left golf club green fields and hills .
On the top platform is beautiful view but what impresses me more are cliffs since I went down under .
I learn on the spot about how significant is marine life flora and fauna in this area
The cliffs formation are totally different to any other
I absolutely enjoy the time in this part of the Nature and I encourage everyone to do the same

Long reef point is a well known headland on the northern beaches in Sydney. The Long Reef Reserve includes Fisherman’s Beach, Long Reef Headland , Long Reef Golf course and Long Reef beach and it’s coastal walkways.
The headland walk is lovely and is surrounded by beautiful coastal views of the whole northern suburb beaches and the golf course.
The Long Reef Point is a 36m shale headland & at the bottom large intertidal rocky platforms and sheltered sandy beaches can be found. It’s an excellent spot for swimming, sun bathing, fishing or surfing depending on the tides.
From the top of the car park follow the path to the headland and the path meanders down and around the golf course.

Fantastisk links golfbane med udsigt til havet. Svære greens, bunkers og masser af vand.
I proshoppen blev vi mødt med smil og blev budt velkommen, prisen for en runde var ikke afskrækkende.
Efter en velspillet runde, gjorde en stor kold øl sig godt.

Fantastic walk past the golf course, then onto the track which runs around the headland. Take the stairs down to the point, or walk around depending on the tides. There will often be someone flying a kite, or paragliders.

I get some of my best inspiration for my journals here. You can just watch everything going on around you without engaging. There are people getting fit, lazing round, everything from adventure sports to strolling.

We met a paragliding company here and the views were fantastic. It did get a little crowded both on land and in the air but everybody was super nice and once we were able to get going on the paraglider the views were unbeatable. Recommend going even if just to hike the trail or walk along the beach!

Whether you're just visiting Long Reef Point, or passing through on the Collaroy to Manly coastal walk, the views from this point are not to be missed. As there are path ways on both the north and south sides of the headland I'd recommend walking up on one side and back on the other.

We parked and walked along the beach and then up the steps to the lookout. You can also grab a parking spot near the golf club but there is a charge for these spots.
If it is low tide you can walk out on the rock platform and check out the pools and the geological formations.
The views from the lookout are spectacular and we were lucky enough to see some whales. There were also a few surfers making the most of a lovely day.

Yes.
It is suitable for walkers, bicycles and wheel chair access.
Note it is a shared path, there is also a drinking fountain at the look out.

I would think you can.... I didn't see any bikes but also did not see anything prohibiting bikes
