Family run artisan cheese company that produces small batches of cheese . Owner and staff very welcoming.
You can enjoy the cheese tastings on the deck or garden terrace overlooking the beautiful forest of Red Hill with local wine, beer or cider. I tried Mock Red Hill Cider and loved it.
Just 3 suggestions to improve if you allow me : promote more local cheese instead of offering French cheese too.
Maybe try to give to the customer some details about your cheeses when bringing the platter to the table .
Increasing the size of cheese portions would be nice.
Overall, a lovely experience

This was a great little find in a gorgeous bush setting - perfect to try a little Peninsula produce! They make their own yummy cheeses & have a selection of wines, beers & ciders from the local area too. We sat in the garden terrace under the umbrellas & had a lovely view of the eucalypt forest. There was a range of tasting plates to try. We opted for the Produce Plate that had a selection of 7 cheeses, terrine, salami, prosciutto, local fruits, olives & sweet marinated onions. It was delicious & perfect for lunch for 2 people. We bought some of the cheeses to take home & they even had cooler bags with ice blocks available for us to get the cheeses home ok. A really nice afternoon out, friendly staff & I'd go back again with friends. A great break away from the beach & the crowds.

A quiet and chill environment to have a nice glass of wine and some cheese. Try their tasting plate when you are there.
We came here by coincidence after going to the Arthur's Seat all because we saw the cheese factory sign on the main road and thought - let's go!
This place is a bit hidden and you need to drive through a dirt road to get there, just be careful when you drive because it is a narrow dirt road.

You will find Red Hill Cheese down a dirt track off the Red Hill Arthur's Seat Road and it sits in a valley with tall gums trees and has a very pleasnat outlook.There was a good range of cheese and it is good quality.It is a noice place but lacks some 'buzz''.

Nice setting and pleasant service. Cheese plate disappointing. Went to Yarra Valley Dairy and cheese platter more expensive but looked great and good value. Was really disappointed when ordering the large plate. Given slivers of cheese and quick introduction and basically advised to follow the sheet.

I finally had a weekend end day off and managed to get to Red Hill Cheese. It’s been on my to do list for ages. I had a lovely morning sitting in the deck sipping on herbal tea while devouring a tasting plate. Generous portions and plenty of crackers. I was more than satisfied and had a hard time deciding which cheeses to take home. A wonderful serene morning, with friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back.

“All the packets of cheese are closed except this one” said a scary lady in a hairnet. This was in response to my incredible chutzpah of a question as to whether I could taste the cheese. After schlepping down dusty gravel back roads to get there we were offered a tiny scraping of something which didn’t even register in my mouth. Magically the cheese packets open if you pay for an expensive tasting plate...most of which we didn’t want. We just wanted a cheese to go with our picnic...This is in stark contrast to Millawa and Yarra Valley Dairy who give you lavish tastings and customers actually buy the product they want. Believe it or not this marketing approach is extremely successful for those companies. The customer service experience at Red Hill Cheese might explain the lack of product visibility/placement in the region. Scary staff and a detention plate. Good luck to the new owners.

We had been here before and the place at that time lacked something but this visit was very good with friendly staff and of course very good cheese. It is located on Williams Road (a dirt track) in Red Hill amid tall trees and has an excellent atmosphere. The small tasting plate of cheese at $10 was excellent value.

Was in the neighbourhood after having lunch nearby and decided to stop in to pick up some cheese. The shop has a great variety of locally produced cheese including soft and hard. Well worth a side stop.

We took our interstate visitors to Red Hill Cheese, and were very impressed. We chose a $20 cheese plate and a great Pinot, and sat down to enjoy a thoroughly delightful hour nestled in the bushland setting. We bought a few cheeses, to have later. It is definitely worth the visit.

We found Red Hill cheese by following the signs on Arthur Seat Road Red Hill then onto William Road which is a dirt road to the Cheesery.
