This was the first stop on our wine tour and was probably my favourite venue. The wine tasting took place on the deck outside with stunning views. The someillier was lovely and friendly but didn't overload with info. I especially enjoyed being able to sit down and enjoy the wines without feeling rushed which was the downside of other venues we visited afterwards

We had lunch which was quite pricey for what we ate
Very poor salad. Just iceberg lettuce and some shavings of Carrot few tiny pieces of tomato. Lacked taste and presentation. Pizza was ok but crust was burnt and uneatable.
Garlic prawns were swimming in some sort of soupy garlic mixture
Other places in the area are much better especially for a meal

A great way to Spend Easter Sunday. The Pinot Grigio was excellent as was the cheese platter and antipasto platter, which were generous in size. Staff were friendly and the live music by Chris Vogt was on point.

My partner and I visited Greenstone Vineyards as our first stop for the day of wine tastings and exploring. The service with all the individual wine knowledge and history was very interesting along with the lovely views outside. Our experience here was very relaxing and enjoyable. We tend to usually lean towards reds but we loved most whites/rose on the tasting list also, to our surprise! It was a great start to our day, highly recommend it.

Peopel are friendly and with very good knowlegdge of the wines. We arrive there because in google maps and in the GPS show to you the winery sticks, but it is no longer sticks. Nice wines.

We wanted a no-fuss lunch with a glass of wine on the long weekend. We were treated to a beautiful BBQ savoury sausage and cheese box with an added bonus of live music. Such a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon with quality wines.

Greenstone Winery doesn’t look all that special from the road, but it’s well worthwhile to turn into their yard and visit.
You see plenty of evidence of a working winery as you walk down to their hospitality area, and then the friendly professionalism of the staff and the amazing view over the vineyards and the Victoria countryside turns the whole thing into a five-star experience. We arrived fairly early, so they were only beginning the preparations for their lunchtime catering as we were getting ready to leave. Things smelled so good, however, that we were tempted to stay on. For that reason, we aren’t in a position to comment on the food or the entertainment.
However, the people, the wines and the surroundings make this a great place to call in, even for a short visit like ours. The lovely lady who was in charge of our tasting was as interested in visitors’ reactions as in marketing her products, which she did with humour and honesty.
We had been surprised - perhaps because, to our discredit, we might have been expecting Australians to be more chauvinistic - at how much New Zealand white wine we see in bottle shops, and on our friends’ tables. Tasting the quality of Greenstone’s Sauvignon Blanc we are even more surprised that wines this wonderful aren’t the automatic first choice. Australian whites as good as this don’t often reach us in Ireland. Perhaps we might go home and make a fortune by becoming specialist importers!
It zings with Aussie sass - the winemakers have had the courage not to tone down the exuberance of the grape or get it to soften up to pander to more timid palates. A couple of other things were equally marvellous. I didn't realise until I looked it up to make sure of its spelling that the name of the Sangiovese grape derives from the blood of Jupiter, but now I know why.
Finally, we tasted something that I’m much too much of a tightwad to have experienced on my own. My (philistine?) attitude has been that there are so many great things to experience in life that it’s hard to justify spending GB£40+ on a bottle of wine. The reserve Shiraz made me question that belief.
You may go and find the opinions expressed here rubbish, but do go. You can’t fail to enjoy an interesting and sociable experience in beautiful rural Australia - especially if you taste enough of the wine!
