Olive Oil Heaven!
This was a very informative and fun tour. If you are a foodie or just love to eat, this tour will broaden your taste for olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Although you do not walk through the orchard, a thorough explanation of harvesting and processing. Is given. Products and other unusual related items can be purchased in the gift store. We also ate at the small cafe which served a fresh, tasty lunch.

Fun visit to Olive company
Everyone was very knowledgeable about the products, olive oil/balsamic vinegar. The tasting was an incredible experience. I loved the olive oil, but the balsamic vinegars stole the show! We enjoyed the cafe with the farm to table food . Finally shopping in the store was fun and informative. Got recipe cards for the oils and vinegars purchased. Highly reccommend

Love the balsamic vinegar!!

I enjoyed the tour and found it interesting as I knew nothing about the process of making oils or balsamic vinegar. The infusion of flavors and the tasting were very eye opening and delicious. The shop has a nice variety of unique items and it smells wonderful. The olive trees had been destroyed by the freeze and the ones replanted aren't anything to look at yet, but not their fault. My male partner wasn't as into it as I was so I noticed several males asking questions. Give it a shot. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and knew her stuff.

A little bit of Italy in Texas?
We added this stop in between wine tasting visits, it was worth the stop and a nice way to break up the day. We were not able to tour the grounds or get on an official tasting however, you can still visit the store and eat in the bistro. You are able to order a sampling/tasting of the olive oils and vinegars. The bistro is counter service with limited seating both indoor and outdoor.

Interesting stop

Stopped in with 2 teens recently and really wasn’t sure what to expect. Something none of us had ever done before, but it made for an interesting visit. Husband and I shared a peach sangria made with balsamic vinegar that was surprisingly refreshing. Then we shared the Texas flight of oil/vinegar as a family. Impressed that my kids took part in sampling all items. Items coming out of the kitchen all smelled amazing. Would definitely stop back by if in the area or recommend for a visit.

Owner provided the tour, which is a seated explanation of the equipment and process, what qualifies as extra virgin olive oil, and a tasting of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Then had lunch at the cafe. So glad we came (and bought lots of their products!) Highly recommend.

Definitely recommend if you’re in the Austin area! Get the Antipasto Salad paired with a BOTTLE of Texiante — a great red blend that pairs well with not only the salad & olives but all the amazing olive oils!

Something not on the menu… request an olive oil tasting — they’ll provide a flight of olive oils + pro-tips on how to be an instant olive oil connoisseur! My fave is Millers Blend! TexasHillCountryOliveCo.com

Who Knew There Is Olive Trees in Texas

On the way back from baseball in Dripping Springs, my husband and I saw the sign for this unusual Texas business. We took the detour and were pleased with our find. Great little cafe and gift shop and tours lure visitors daily. Bought oil and balsamic for gifts. They even have olive trees for sale. I called to order more after our visit. They need a new phone system but is hard to get a call through and talk to a person

A great tasting experience--and no hangover!

Real olive oil--not the stuff mixed with vegetable oils in plastic bottles--is a real treat when you conduct a tasting that treats oil like fine wines. See, swirl, sniff, sip, and savor brought the flavors to life. Our guide Trey expertly explained the differences between the oils we tasted to our group on a weekday morning. Exotic flavors like harissa, basil, Sicilian, and blood orange were great on their own, but combined with the amazing array of balsamic vinegars and then sampling them with bread, parmesan cheese, marcona almonds, dark chocolate, and even ice cream made for a superbly tasty and educational experience. They shared recipes, ideas for using the oils and vinegars, and a conversion chart for substituting oil for butter in recipes. The shop has two sizes of bottles for purchase, as well as accessories for serving. There's a restaurant that serves fresh, seasonal, farm-to-table food that showcases their products at their best. Reservations are necessary for groups. Weekends are busy, but don't miss this gem when visiting Dripping Springs. Their award winning oils and vinegars are worth the trip!
