During my visit to Granbury, I purchased a front row ticket to Miracle on 34th Street - The Musical. I enjoyed being in the historic opera house/theater and was happy to see such a place preserved and protected. However, the production quality/value of the show left much to be desired. I actually left at intermission because I didn't think I could sit for another hour. The seating is also very tight. Upon my return home to Chicago (4 days later), I developed symptoms of Covid. I had to have contracted the virus in the theater. Despite wearing a mask (I was the only one), this was the only place I visited that was crowded with people so close to me for an extended amount of time.

This was our second time to visit Granbury. Both time we attended a play at the 1896 opera house. This trip West Side Story was the production scheduled. It was excellent - first rate. All seats in the opera house have great sight lines. Beautifully restored, friendly and informative attendants.

Very Nice Opera House. Friendly staff. We just saw, "The Mousetrap." It was very good. Seats are comfortable compared to other theatres of this type.

Such a special place to see shows! The productions are always wonderful and the atmosphere unique. We live here and can't wait for the shows to begin again... stupid Covid!

Knowing we were going to be in Granbury for a day and having heard about the terrific shows that are put on here I decided to see if anything was playing during our visit. WELL turns out Wizard of Oz (one of my all time favorite movies) was playing during this time. I bought tickets for my family of 5 (10, 6 and 4) front row tickets for this production. The theater is beautiful and the seats are comfy - I do recommend with little kids to book the first row of either section (front, middle or back) so they are not battling a view with the people in front of them since they are short. I was very thankful we were able to get the front row.
So Wizard of Oz was INCREDIBLE, there were special affects that I did not expect to see in GRANBURY and the acting was phenomenal. I was also super impressed that even Toto was a great little actor and did a fantastic job with is cues which again shocked me to no end that even the dog was perfect. Every second of this show was mesmerizing, the kids never lost interest and asked us if we could go back for another show!

The shows at the Opera House never disappoint! The historic theater has been beautifully restored and reflects the tasteful elegance of this crown jewel on the square!

This was our first visit here and we weren't disappointed. We brought my teenage granddaughters to see a play. They did a job restoring the building. It's just beautiful inside. We had seats on the floor, they also have balcony seating. We loved the small size of the theatre, and i dont think they have a bad seat in the house. We will definitely be back!!

We saw the Adams Family musical at the Opera House. It is a lovely facility, every seat is good. The singing and acting were outstanding as were the choreography and costume design. Granbury has a real winner in it's midst.

Yes the Granbury Opera House has been remodeled. It reopened on Dec 6, 2013. It was a magnificent remodeled that won a major award from TX Historic commission in 2014. Not a question, just an update.

Most are good. Just follow the chart to choose your preference. Because we are short, we try to get the front row of the back section to avoid looking over potentially tall people in front of us. There are really no seats we would deem bad. The very first row might be too close. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I just now saw this question. It's a small theater and all seats are good. None are blocked at all. Even in the balcony. Hope you have visited since your question. If not, plan a day in Granbury around your Opera House visit. It's a great little, very historic town to visit. Lots of shops and eateries.
